One of the worst home maintenance experiences I have had in 36 years of home ownership. They charge double what real plumbers charge to (try to) rod out a tub. And they couldn't get the job done. The one star is only because the person who did the service tried hard and was nice. Otherwise (if I could), it would be zero stars. Their whole business plan seems designed to rip homeowners off. Stay away from this company. I called a real plumber and they got the job done at half the price.

If I could hive negative star, I would! They pretty much robbed me without a gun. They rooted out my main sewage line in January since we had water backup in the basement from roots in the line and had to do it again the following month from the same problem. The did the camera 3 days after the second rooting and guess what?!!! They told me we needed hydrojetting because my line is 99% blocked. Uuhhhh wasnt that the reason why you guys had to root it out 2x and still u guys couldn't do the job right? Spent 500+ and Now they want a thousand!!!!! Will never use Mr. Rooter again!!!!! They scam people to get more money!!!!!! Went with another company who pretty much cleared the line and showed us in the camera that it was completely open before finishing the job.

Very satisfied with the work James did. Had to have a water main in the house replaced. Very cordial, cleaned up the work area. Price was very competitive.

My personal experience with Mr.Rooter was overall great from start to finish. They were responsive to all my requests, were able to come out and do the work within a short notice, and were reasonably priced. The technicians were prompt, friendly, and professional. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!!

I had a back up in my utility room at 10:30 on a Sunday night. I called and they were there in 40 minutes. They fixed the problem and were courteous and thorough. Omar and Jason both explained everything and offered to show me the problem with the camera, so I could see for myself. The office help was also very courteous. The only problem I had was that it was expensive (467.00), when the village charges 170.00. But given it was 10:30 on Sunday night I can accept the charge. They also recommended flushing out the line for 1,500.00. The village came out and looked at the line the next day and said it looked good, so I was glad I didn't have the flushing. The tech did give me some tips on avoiding the back-up again, which I appreciated. So overall I was happy.

Mr. Rooter is awesome! They fixed our clogged drain a couple of months ago. Mr. Rooter focuses on quality and doing things the right way, not the cheap way. I understand the reviews here for high quotes, but me personally I would rather pay a little more to get better service!!

If I could put a negative star, I would.
Congratulations Mr. Rooter - you officially suck in our book - you're a laughing stock here. I called to schedule a consult, and the representative came within the same day! It was fantastic and my boss was so happy. Then came them actually having to do the work... they didn't even listen to the directions that were provided by my boss (who actually KNOWS THE BUILDING) and ended up wasting our time. THEN when I called to discuss what happened, they admitted to their error and said they would come back the following weekend (which was this past weekend the 6th). Well surprise surprise to me! They didn't show up, they didn't call, they just decided our business wasn't good enough for their time. Now I know why my coworkers all told me ""Don't use Mr. Rooter""; ""They never show up when they say they will""; ""They always make the situation worse... if they ever DO show up""
You guys should just shut down - you're not doing anyone any favors!

This company does not treat or promote what they say on their web site. They do not tell you up front the extensive costs of their billing process. They mislead you up front by pricing a camera and a sewer rodding service as two different prices. The costs came out to $405.20. This was suppose to include one hour or more of sewer rodding. The person they sent me was chronically ill and after 25 minutes of sewer rodding, he gave up and said there is nothing more he can do. The next day, they wanted to proceed with the next step, which was jetting, and they are charging double the amount than other companies. They do not tell you up front that jetting costs $1,500.00. When other companies run from $780.00 to $980.00. Therefore, after they stole $405.20 for 25 minutes of sewer rodding and a 10 minute camera view.

This company is independently owned. I spoke to their corporation who tried to contact on my behalf, but were unsuccessful. Then I tried to contact their person who did this to us, Aileen, who does not want to return my phone calls. This is sad because all I wanted was to be priced justly and not overpriced for a job that was never completed or rendered.

I wish to give this company not even one star, but unfortunately, I have to select one star to submit my review.

Would not recommend. Technician did not perform quality work, damaged other parts of my home (piping and exterior), told me I needed new pumps when in fact I Didn't, had to constantly call their company for follow up to get matters handled, and yet I ended up with more damage after their work than I started with before even calling them. Inconsistent service. Do not trust this company, shotty work and seem to just be out for a buck. Their service does not match up to what they claim they deliver on their website. No diagnostics, no ""options/alternatives"", no troubleshooting, no root cause analysis, just jump to the most expensive ""solution"" and end up doing more harm than good. I'm still left with damage to my home because of these people, and that's after they dispatched someone 4 times (3 different people) that was a relatively simple fix 1 HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE EXPERT could have fixed in one visit without causing damage to my home.

1 star cuz I can't assign 0. Don't work with this company, they are misleading and not responsive. They came out for an estimate for repairing our drain tile and never followed up with us. They collected over $500 and didn't tell us anything we didn't know. Called a week in a row to speak to customer service or management, had to call several times to get follow up. The lady I spoke to was rude and condescending. Horrible company, save your time and money and go elsewhere.
