Edward the guy that came out was good about clearing our sewer line but the problem was that the city had come out to fix the water lines a week before and we suspected that they had broke our sewer line. Well I had called the city to come out to check and see if it was there fault. Edward intercepted the city supervisor behind my back and told him that the line was clear and that the city needed to do no more. Edward told us he could fix the sewer line for 7,000. Well the line backed up again so I called the city and they dug up the street and discovered that they had broke the sewer line when they were digging for the water line. That's when the city supervisor told me that Edward had sent him away saying that the line was clear. These guys are crooks we paid 312.50 Edward said he would email our receipt but he never did he said he would write us a letter explaining the problem so that we could give it to the city and he didn't do that either. Now I know he was just trying to sell the sewer job for 7,000.

Our water heater broke over Thanksgiving and Mr. Rooter was quick to come out and give us a quote and the next day we had a brand new water heater. I received a courtesy call about 20 minutes before they were supposed to arrive. They were on time and very friendly. Will definitely call them next time we have an issue!

We had an ongoing issue that we had called a couple different plumbers out to diagnose and no one could figure it out. Then we came across mr rooter and as soon as I described the issue they knew exactly what the problem was. That has been my experience with mr rooter time and time again. They figure out what the problem is within a few minutes and they do a superb job of repairing it. They don't cut corners.

I've had problems with many other companies that don't take time to figure out what the real issue is and then leave a big mess for me to clean after. But mr rooter plumbers leave with no mess for me to clean. I'm extremely happy with their service and will continue to call them for all plumbing needs.

We had an emergency with our atrium drain clogging during a downpour and called Mr. Rooter. They were professional and sent someone as soon as he could get to us. Shannon was excellent. He took one look at the problem and immediately went to work. When he noticed how much work we had done on our own to help bail the water that was filling up, he even took $50 off the cost! We are so relieved that Mr. Rooter (especially Shannon) came to the rescue. We will definitely use them again.

We had a slow drain in the shower, tried to fix ourselves with Drain-O but didn't work so we called Mr. Rooter in the morning, nice friendly lady said we could come out in two-three hours, I said okay. They gave me a courtesy call to say he's on his way and Fernando arrived just within two hours. Showed him the slow drain, he snaked it and all was well. He even checked the adjacent shower to make sure it would not clog. He at first thought we did not have a P-Trap under the shower so he said he would go under the house (through a small hole in the closet). He confirmed there was a trap it was just further away from the drain than usual. Great service I would use again and recommend.

My experience went like this:

Tom: ""It's gonna run you about $275 to run a snake""

Me: ""fine""

**does some work over the course of an hour**

Me: ""Did you get it?""

Tom: ""No, so I will have to come back tomorrow with a partner and go in through the
vent on the roof.""

Me:""With a partner? What's that going to cost?""

Tom: ""Unfortunately, it's gonna run you about $647.50""

Me: ""And what do I owe you if that doesn't work?""

Tom: ""Well then we'd go under the house and access from there, which depending on the work could run another $500 to maybe up to 5 thousand or so..it really depends on what we find.""

So we stopped right there, called another local plumber, he came out in 20 minutes, fixed the issue in 30 minutes, charged $95.

It's true what yelpers say about them being costy and/or inflated.

We were a long term customer dating back to 2008. We have an older home with many trees which have deep roots. We have constant issues with our sewer system due to the tree roots that continually clog our pipes. Prior technicians have had exemplary service and customer service skills.

On June 2nd we had another interruption in our sewer system. It averages once or twice a year. We are familiar with the issues and when we called a technician by the name of Tom returned our call and we informed him of the known issues and provided extreme detail so there was no confusion. At that time he said no problem and we set a time and we took time off of work to meet a representative from Mr. Rooter at the home Monday afternoon at ~4pm.

The technician that arrived was a young man with a woman in uniform in the van. We provided the same information that was provided to Tom the previous night. Extreme detail was provided and what needed to be done to repair this issue. Mind you we have done this repeatedly at least half a dozen times.

After showing the technician what needed to be done the technician stated he would provide two options then took a 15 minute hiatus to return to his van write the proposals. When he returned there was only one option. That was to jack hammer the front cement patio and install a two way clean out.

When asked why we couldn't do previous solutions he stated they can't do what they have done in the past. And the previous technicians were no longer with the company. Claimed he had been doing this for 14 years and when we requested his tenure with the company he never provided an answer. He was arrogant and rude. I thought we were the client?

Called back the office staff and was treated extremely rude. Where are these people's customer service skills? We were long term clients and deserved better. We have been using them for at least 5 years.

When we finally got hold of the owner (Rich). He took a long time to respond to us. And by the time he did it was too little too late.

We recommend instead of Mr. Rooter you contact Roto Rooter and ask for Rob Hillian. He was personable, friendly and knowledgeable. He was happy to help us and look at that. We saved thousands of dollars by using Roto Rooter to clean as we specified as opposed to jack hammering out concrete front patio. Call Rob if you need help. 925-939-3100.
