Horrible customer service. Technician was very polite and helpful. Management and ownership of this franchise is horrible. Would leave zero stars if possible. Will never use again

If I could leave no stars I would. We called Mr. Rooter to unclog a sewer line back in March 2020. The technician came out and said he would need to spray/ hose the clog. The first time the technician put the hose into the clean-out wrong and sprayed sewage all over the roof of the house. He then attempted to spray the clog a second time, again he put the hose in wrong and sewage sprayed up from every toilet, drain, sink in the house. He said he was sorry and would give us $100 off the service (great) and he would have to come back the next day as he thought the clean-out was installed wrong. He came back the next day and started to dig where the clog was and hit the water main line (he did not mark the water main line prior to digging). This contaminated our water with the sewage leaking. He told us not to use our water for two weeks as sewage could be in the water pipes (we had a three month old baby!). He then had to repair the water line to our house, which has subsequently broken twice and we have had to have repaired. The technician seemed extremely over worked. Said he had been working 12+ hour days for over two weeks. Mr. Rooter makes you pay for all services upfront so we had no recourse and could not get a refund. I have called the office 4 times to speak with the owner and I am always told ""he will call you within 24 hours"". I have never received a call back and have had to file a complaint with the BBB. I would never use this service.

First time using Me Rooter. Great customer service and they got to the root of the problem. We did have a major repair. Was very thorough to explain what we needed done. Happy with the work prices.
Will use again for some other previous issues that need repair.

We called Mr Rooter to come and take a look at a leak we had in our basement ceiling. It was the 3rd of July and I really think the man that came to look at the leak just didn't want to work. He claimed the leak was impossible to get at. Dry wall would have to be cut open, electrical lines moved, gas line cut and capped off by gas company and HVAC ducts moved. He basically said they were not set up to handle this problem. Now what? If you are a plumbing company that can't figure out how to fix a plumbing leak then what? My husband came home, I told him what was said and he came up with a solution to the problem without tearing down walls and he is NOT a plumber. We called a different company on Monday and they had someone there in a few hours. This man looked at the issue, came up with a solution to the problem and he had it fixed and was gone in 2 1/2 hours. No drywall removal! No gas, electric or HVAC company needed. Mr Rooter is now crossed off my call list!

I was absolutely pleased with my service today. Everyone else had a week wait time and they worked me in within 2 hours. Seth was courteous and professional and explained our issue and what repairs we may need to make in the future. I'm a tough customer and Mr. Rooter completely exceeded my expectations!

I just had a water leak in the yard and picked-up the phone book and saw this friendly ad, ""MR. ROOTER."" I called and they had a nice young man come out and assess the job, but then when they saw where I lived he had to take pictures and discuss how much to charge. They wound-up charging me 35.00 per foot to add 100 foot of PEX from the water meter to the house.

From there, everything went downhill. After having the yard marked and pointing out where the demark point from the yard to the house, they STILL COULD NOT FIND THE COPPER PIPE coming out of the house.

They resorted to calling two more people out (one with a metal detector and another young man with two wires swinging from his hands. After two days of digging and them getting behind on jobs (they line them up for profit so there is no room for error), they gave up and asked me if they could run a new line to save time and finish up the job.

Begrudgingly my wife and I agreed. The PEX was run from the meter box into my basement with two 90-degree connections in the basement (not a demark point to solid copper outside the house), so now if there ever becomes a leak it is INSIDE THE HOUSE. When I went to sign the bill, they charged me an additional $385.00 to do it.

I don't blame the young men who did the work; they were just doing what they were told. The company is a FRANCHISE that will hire most anyone who can demonstrate they have strong work ethics. Experience comes with time.

If you want a company with experienced journeymen and have an honest business-model, this is definitely not the one. Two days and $4,000.00 later and my head still hurts...I have been had.

First time a few months ago i called for services- took 1.5 weeks to call back.
Thrn my spouse called for a different service- they rescheduled my first appointment because they were so busy and then instead of making me ahead of the others at 1:30pm they still had not called to say when they were coming but when i called the customer service lady she said u r still on our schedule for today. Ugh- no thanks. We are done. She seriously didn't even try to apologize or act like it was an issue at all. She acted like i was just another client who needs to just shut up and wait. again- no thank you. I can't imagine how the actual result would be if they can't hire people with good customer service skills.
