We had a backed-up sewer that was flooding our basement shower. A Mr Rooter tech came out and rooted (?) the blockage and we were good for about a week. When it backed up again the next weekend they came out and rooted it again free of charge. Later that week they also put a camera down the line to diagnose the issue. They were honest and said that we didn't require any further repairs and they were great about explaining the condition of the pipe and what we could expect going forward. Overall, they were extremely friendly, responsive, and aware of our budget. I couldn't recommend them more. 10/10

I called Mr. Brewer on a Friday afternoon because I had a leak in my ceiling. They sent someone out within an hour to evaluate the situation. They kept me updated the entire time and completed the work quickly. They were very clean and charged a fair price. I will absolutely call them if I need any future repairs. Thank you Mr. router.

You don't think about how important your plumbing is until it doesn't work.

Aaron and his team came out and did a fairly large project for us which involved tearing out our entire sewer line and replacing it. The project went very smoothly given the age of our house and a few obstacles that presented themselves along the way. Their whole staff was very patient as I asked an enormous amount of questions.

I highly recommend Mr. Rooter for small or large jobs. They gave me a free estimate for the work, showed up when they said they would, followed through with quality work, and at the end I paid the amount we agreed upon.

This company charged me 450$ to unclog my toilet .long story short ,they didnt unclog it.i called back the next day and told them and they tried to charge me again.i do not recommend this company.they are not very honest people.

Came on a short notice on a Saturday to open a clogged kitchen sink. They did an excellent job.Reasonable price. They followed up a few days later to see if everything is OK.Would recommend them.

It seems that Rooter has a thin skin to negative customer experiences. This is not a MISTAKEN review, I dealt directly with The Rooter service out of Champaign Urbana for a job 30 miles south. The unresolved hole left in my backyard and power knocked out to both garages was real and not imagined. As I stated, the guys were nice enough, but left me with little to go on except a rough estimate of 23k to run a new sewer line. In the end, I went with Lanz Heating and Cooling for the sewer line replacement at a fraction of the terrifying Rooter rough estimate. Sorry, Mr. Rooter, no go!! If you have poor record keeping talk to your crew and don't blame the customer.

My first experience with Mr. Rooter was relatively positive. They came at the appointed time and fixed the problem. Sent the bill within two weeks and I paid for it. Unfortunately the same problem occurred in few days after I paid the bill(5 days to be exact).

Second time I received a ""different"" diagnosis of the problem. I agreed to the estimate but did not receive a bill. Two month later I receive a call from Katie saying that the bill they tried to mail me had been returned so I provided her my name, address and email. Another month goes by and they send my bill to collection agency for nonpayment ( yes for a bill that I never received). I called and spoke to their CFO who found the second bill and realized that it was not addressed to the right person. She sent me the bill electronically and I sent out a check the same day. Of course I'm still getting harassed with daily phone calls from the collection agency until Mr. Rooter receives my check for a bill they messed up on.

Will I ever call Mr. Rooter again? Probably not. Cost me $249, two visits, harassment from the collection agency and definitely no guarantee on workmanship and getting things done right the first time. Exceptional customer service and treating customers with respect? Yes that's what I dream about as the collection agency is grilling me on when exactly did I send my check and when my check will clear. To say the least it's been an unpleasant experience!

Although there are some good reviews here, my experience with this business was bad, really bad. The only positive here is that he came fast after my call. He worked at the sewer line of my house for about 40 min and told me by phone that the line is broken at the junction of PVC and Clay pipes. He will charge me a minimum of 2.5 K to dig the junction part out and fix it. I found someone else for the excavation and found there was no problem at the junction. I rented a sewer auger and it took me 10 min to unplug the line. Now I have to pay several bills, including his service, the excavation, and the rent for the auger for a simple job he should have it done at his first trip. Also I have to fix and clean the mess at the backyard, which was not necessary if he did do his job right at the first place.

Mr. Rooter had someone at my house, had the issue diagnosed and started repair before another service even would return my call. Not to mention I reached out the other service an hour before I called Mr. Rooter! Jared was super friendly and showed me exactly what was wrong, and explained all of the aspects of the issue. Couldn't ask for a more straight forward fix to a complicated problem!
