Roberta W.I regret calling Mr. Rooter to clean out my drains. I was not told that there would be a charge for ""after hours"". Note - the technician is just now leaving at 5:32 pm on a Tuesday. The drains are cleaned and so is my bank account.... $497.00! For snaking the drain?? Really?? Do yourself a favor and do not use this company.
I feel foolish for not checking the Yelp ratings before calling the first company that came to mind.
I had a leaking water line which I called and they were able to come out within hours to resolve the issue granted it was after hours, Cost was $450.00 Before the gentleman they turned my water back on at that point my water heater began leaking. I informed the guy it was leaking he stated that it would eventually stop and for me to hook my water hose up to it then in the morning to go to Ace hardware and get a water hose cap to put over it. He then left and I went to the store and bought the cap. However at that point the water was draining way to fast out of my water heater. I called the guy back and stated hey can you come back and look at my water heater it's draining way to much water and it is soaking my floor. The man stated again to just place the cap on it. I called him 3 times before he finally agreed the water needed to be shut off again. At that point I called my friend and me and her were outside on the ground trying to shut off my water. It took us about 30 minutes however we were finally able to get it turned off. I called the gentleman back and told him we tuned it off he just said ok and that he was going home. The next morning I called the hot line and informed them of what happened. At that point my water heater had been still leaking all night all over my floors they were completely ruined. They just stated they couldn't get anyone to come until 02:00. The gentleman did return and ultimately they replaced my hot water heater that costed me another 1500 which I was originally quoted 1300 and was told I would get a discount. But at that point I mean I have kids and we couldn't be without water. But I certainly believe the man knew when he left that my water heater was bad I honestly think he just did not want to take the time to replace it that night given how late it was. I do however believe if he would have been honest with me and left my water shut off I wouldn't have so much water damage to home which is costing me the replacement of my daughter's room floor my bathroom floors and hallway floors. Which they did not have water damage until after the hot water leaked. I appreciate them for coming out in such a short notice but I definitely feel like I was taken advantage of being a woman.
Ricky S.My toilet is clogged, called them for an unclog service. They told me I will be charged for $85 for after hour service fee. After the plumber came, he told me he can give 2 plans, the cheap one is $400 and the expensive one is $600, really expensive and way higher than my expectation. I didn't take the service, but they still charge me $85 for 5 minutes service fee. Shame on you, be aware don't choose them.
Robert R.Called for ""free estimate"", supposed to do a dye test and/or force air into pipes to locate leak in water main.
Poked a rod in the dirt (One spot) and said ""Nope. No water here.""
No dye test, no air in the line, no locating the leak!
Straight to ""We can fix the problem. Let me call my boss and get you an estimate.""
(Highest prior estimates from local plumber was $3200.)
Mr Rooters estimate...$5,200. !! ""But we offer financing.""
Then had the AUDACITY to CHARGE us $85 for coming out and sticking a metal stick in the ground!
STAY AWAY!!! RIP OFF!!!
Real robbery!! Had drain issue at my ice cream shop, the old guy came who barely walks, try to fix it, couldn't still got charged 400$, call different company , 3 people came, fix the problem in less than 10 minutes and only charged me 200$!!! Never again! Worst company in town!
Less than one star indeed. I called to see how much rooting a drain would be. Didn't want to price it over the phone. I assumed probable 100-150 dollars. They came to the house told us the service started at approximately 450 dollars to root it, 900 dollars to replace the pipe (It's PVC not Silver) and more to ""Jet it"". We declined - still had to pay a 70 dollar service fee for a conversation that took ~1 minute in our kitchen (and could have easily been had over the phone). They basically drove out to collect a 70 dollar check - it was the most dishonest experience I've ever had. I'm sure they knew what they were doing. I almost told them to leave without paying - but I'm not a dishonest person. The worst experience I've had with a company in a long time.
Michelle P.Less than 1 star! Buyer beware! My elderly mother had a dripping kitchen faucet.. She just wanted it to stop.. They said the only fix was to replace the faucet set. They replaced it alright.. with a Delta Brand.. Then gave her a $600.00 invoice. Shame on you Mr. Rooter.
C D.I've been a return customer for a few different plumbing issues. They're always courteous and quick. Pricing has always been fair in my experience and I've never had any issues with the quality of the work. Definitely one of the more professional companies I've worked with.
Quoted $400 for a job that would take less than an hour. They have fixed prices no matter how straight forward the job, and would not deviate. They would not give a price over the phone when the service needed was described. Don't waste your money, I'm out the cost of a service call so you don't have to be.
