Duck created his own plumbing business and adopted the name Mr. Rooter. After discussions with Don Neighborly, Duck sold Mr. Rooter Plumbing to The Neighborly Group in 1989. Although Duck transferred the rights to the business and its original franchises, he retained his shop in Oklahoma City. David Duck is still a franchise owner today.
