Call center confirmed no dispatch fee, then another call to change it to a $70 fee. Diagnosed the problem fine, then said it would be $1500 to change a kitchen faucet. These people are bait and switching and price gouging, avoid at all costs.

I asked for someone to come and provide an estimate for a new water heater. I was told a dispatch fee of $69 would apply, even for a sales call to provide a quote. I did not request, nor need service on my water heater - it's 20 years old and I'm looking to do a preventative replacement.

Astonishing response time. They are almost like the fixit guy next door. Knowledgeable and professional. They are the "get it done" guys.

The absolute BEST experience I've ever had with a plumbing company! I called and spoke to Brett and he was so kind and helpful. He sent out Mark Lucas for my emergency repair. Thanks to Mr. Rooter we now have hot water and a water heater that was repaired correctly. HIGHLY recommend!

Backstory:
I came home Fri evening to my waterheater spraying out water and it had flooded my laundry room and office closet. Wood floor is ruined. I immediately called my home warranty company, which has zero sense of urgency. I spent all weekend without hot water because the company they contracted Keilly Plumbing works M-F 8-5...sooo convenient . Boiling water for baths sucks!
I had to call them first thing Monday (today) morning MYSELF and luckily (or so I thought) they were able to have their technician Dustin come out around 3. I met with him he worked on it for about 45 min. I had to leave to head back to work so I left my daughter to be available. He stopped in and said he was done and left. About an hour after he left my husband comes home to check it all out only to find the waterheater now SPEWING WATER EVERYWHERE!! Once again, a flooded laundry room, mushy sheetrock, and flooded office closet. Soo awesome! NOT! I was and still am absolutely furious!! I called Dustin and got a voicemail which wasn't set up so you couldnt leave a message. Awesome. I text and sent a picture. He responded stating he was on another job and couldn't come until maybe sometime between 2-4 tomorrow (Tues). I'm sorry, but you just f*cked up my waterheater even worse with your sh*t soldering job making the copper weak. Horrible. DO NOT USE KEILLY PLUMBING!! They don't have a clue what they're doing. I will be filing a formal complaint on them as well. They not only cost me the $75 for the warranty charge, but because Mr. Rooter had to fix Keilly's shotty bs work, we had to pay $611.00 more to have it done right.
Needless to say I will be canceling my American Home Shield warranty and will do my best to make sure everyone is aware of how poor of a company that Keilly Plumbing is. Homeowners beware!!
We will recommend Mr. Rooter to everyone we know and on our socials for everyone to see. They are amazing and we are customers for life. Thank you Brett and Mark!!!

Updated review: After calling them and speaking with them about the charges, they were able to update it and I paid $900 less and a reasonable amount!

Used them to identify and fix a water leak under the ground between my house and the main shut off valve. Plumber was amazing, but pricing ended up being insanely high and not transparent at all. I never got the contract of all the expenses before the work was done and was just shown it on an IPad. Had to call in to get a receipt for the work and they didn't want to send the receipt either, just wanted for me to pay which made me uneasy. Total cost for JUST the digging to get to the part was around $1200 and I was charged for a 6x6 foot dig when the hole in the ground is not that large and we don't have proof in pictures.

Plumber was very knowledgeable though and they were quick to come out which should be noted.

Mr. Rooter is not transparent or trustworthy and I strongly recommend NOT doing business with this company. They charge a substantial fee just to show up, and none of that is applicable to diagnosing or fixing the problem. They refuse to discuss their rates on the phone ahead of time, and will give you no estimate of the general rate for a specific service. Once at your home, they will quote you a highly inflated cost. In our case, their estimate to root a simple kitchen sink clog was more than three times what we finally paid another service to do it. This practice is intentionally deceptive and designed to take advantage of people in an already difficult situation. If a company refuses to discuss their rates up front, call someone who will. There are plenty of honest plumbers out there.

I had a gas leak in my fireplace and found it late in the afternoon. They called me back within minutes of me requesting a quote and even scheduled a technician to come first thing the next morning, on New Years Eve.
The technician Alex was awesome. Extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He explained everything he was doing and even made suggestions on how I could save some money. He was quick and extremely efficient and went above and beyond to ensure everything, fireplace, appliances and all, worked correctly and safely to make sure my family was safe and the gas leak issue was resolved. What could have been a very serious situation was avoided because of the time and care Alex provided. Pricing was very reasonable and even lower than some of the other quotes I got.
I will use this company again if I need any service and highly recommend them. Especially the technician Alex. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

So this is probably the best plumber I have ever dealt with in my 12 years of home ownership so far. First of all - this review is not only about Mr. Rooter in general, but specifically about the plumber I was lucky enough to use - Jason Henderson. The guy is a total BOSS!

The work we had done was first of all to convert my electric cooktop to a gas top, and secondly, replace my water heater. Jason can out pretty quickly, got everything hooked up for the gas line and then when the inspector came out with his notes, Jason updated the little things here and there to keep it moving.

The water heater was a whole other animal. The old water heater was 27 years old, so WAY out of code. Jason spent a full day removing the old one and getting everything up to snuff. He also went the extra mile of doing a final pressure test on the gas lines after everything to make sure that when the inspector came out we KNOW we will pass.

There are so many other little things he kept doing throughout the ay that showed that he truly cares about his customers. It may not be much if I listed them, but to me and my family it was these extra little things that made a whole world of difference.

I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter to anyone as their prices and timing was top notch, but, more specifically, if you can get Jason Henderson on your job - DO IT! You will NOT be let down!

We had our pipes destroyed during a home improvement project - sewage flowing into the yard to to mention that our bathroom was nonfunctional.... We were desperately calling plumbing companies throughout Austin but Brett and his team were so quick to come out, empathetic with a reasonable bid that we chose them! They were easy to work with throughout the process. The work was done promptly and the team communicated throughout! Thanks Mr Rooter!
