This plumber has absurd policies. I am a tenant and when I phoned for service my landlord was at my house and available right then to authorize by phone the technician to come for service. Mr. Rooter would not accept that. Mr. Rooter requires the home owner - so my landlord - to be physically present at the time the technician arrives and to stay at the home throughout the service. My landlord was not able to be at the house later that day, but, as I explained to the call center agent, my landlord could right then provide authorization by phone (which is what Mr. Plumber and other service providers reasonably require), and I could and would be at the house the whole time the technician was servicing my plumbing. Mr. Rooter refused to accept that. It requires that the landlord be physically present when the technician is performing service. When I asked what would happen if my landlord lived in Arizona and I had a stopped-up toilet in Atlanta, the call center agent literally told me the landlord would have to fly from Arizona to Atlanta and be present when the technician arrived. When I asked her if she understood how unreasonable that policy was, she could not answer. She just said, """"That is our policy."""" Bottom line: do not use this company until they develop reasonable, customer-friendly policies.

I had a leaky shower that caused a wet spot in the ceiling below it. It was over the garage so I climbed a ladder, cut a hole in the ceiling and discovered a leaky drain basket. This is an easy repair; however, I'm on vacation for the Christmas holidays right now and decided my free time was worth too much to me. I found Mr. Rooter on the Internet and called them. They were prompt in getting someone out the same day. I showed the guy the problem. He spent a few minutes putting together an estimate on his tablet. He started to pitch me on their """"advantage plan membership"""" (it sounded silly, I declined), and then he told me the price... $580! And that doesn't even include drywall work - just the plumbing! I paid the $29 service charge and showed him the door. Annoyed, I apologized and excused myself from my family, drove to the hardware store, bought $20 worth of parts and repaired it myself in about an hour. This is an easy repair that requires no special tools or knowledge beyond gluing PVC and using plumbers putty - all stuff you can easily learn on the Internet if you've never done it before. Look, I would have gladly paid a few hundred for this repair. I understand plumbers need to feed their families, but $580 is easily three times what a plumber would charge for this simple repair. It makes me sick to think that some people might be fooled into paying these kind of prices.

Perfect experience. I want to Thank Mr. Rooter and the entire staff for the service they provided for one of our rental properties in Roswell An evicted renter flushed - God knows what - down the toilet out of spite for not being able to pay his rent (a whole another story). This was causing a host of issues with the entire properties sewage systems. They came out immediately - quoted a price and went right to work. It took just 4 hours and we were back up and running! (Oh it ended up being a stuffed animal that the renter had flushed down the toilet) Thank you much to the owner Bob for expediting our services. Mark

Predatory Pricing Scam! Mr. Rooter Septic a/k/a Septic Blue Company completely took advantage of a female homeowner by promising to thoroughly assess my water situation and pump my septic tank for $175. In 5 minutes, I was required to sign in the hot sun on an iPad giving authorization to the technician access to dig up my yard, make a huge mud pile, break my septic lid in a thousand pieces and charge me for products and a 3 year membership that we not explained to the sum total of $3,060.50. I also was pressured to purchase a new drain field for $7500 but I declined. When a homeowner calls a company for help, we trust that the business owner will be responsible for educating to ensure that the customer understands the system and processes. The standing water was caused by my neighbor's fountain water running onto my property for over a month - I have a copy of her $400 water bill as proof. Mr. Rooter/Septic Blue is negligent in miss-diagnosing the issue, breaking my septic lid, forcing my signature and payment on an iPad (no printed receipt given on job site so that I could read carefully all the fine print and know what I was being charged and paying for.) This company has no regard for me as a client nor do they take responsibility in making it right. Mr. Rooter/Septic Blue delivered an experience of poor quality service, scammed me into spending $3,060.50 resulting in a very unhappy customer. This company preys on customer's emotions, takes advantage of the situation, practices predatory pricing, sales, and service. Never, DO NOT CALL Mr. Rooter Septic a/k/a Septic Blue for help!

I hate being hustled. I was finishing a large renovation in Atlanta and had a need for a plumber to hook up two sinks and the returns, a simple job. Got a recommendation and set up an appointment. Forgot to check out the supplier which was my mistake. The tech arrived gave me a quote for $466 when I knew the job was worth 225 at best. Decided to let them do the work as I wanted to leave Atlanta that afternoon and my next supplier could not get there until Monday. Last item to finish and very overpriced service. The work was fine, the price was more then 100% more then customary. I will never use this company again.

This is my 2nd time calling Mr. Rooter in 10 months. The first I called I didn't like the run around/confusion about the techs arrival time I was here all day waiting. However after my last review the owner contacted me personally to apologize... with that said I called yesterday (6/24th). I got a call this am 7:30 the tech was here by 7:54am. He was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable of his craft. Thumbs-up Mr. Rooter! Job well done.

About 4 years ago I had the pipe running from the meter box to my house replaced by Mr. Rooter. It sprung a leak near the meter box on Saturday 06-13-2015. I called the County water department to check it out on Monday 06/15/2015. I was informed that the leak was on my side of the meter so it was my responsibility. Called Mr. Rooter since they originally replaced the line on 08/14/2011 and was told that someone will be there in an hour. A gentleman named James showed up in 50 mins to access the problem. James wound up spending about 3 hours replacing a section of pipe from the meter to my house. He was very professional, nice and apologetic, genuinely concerned. He showed and explained the cause of the leak, fixed it and made sure I was satisfied. The best part was that I paid NOTHING, as in free. Oh, it did cost me a bottle of water since the temperature was about 90 degrees that day...lol. Talk about making it right!! Great Job James and Mr. Rooter. You have a customer for life. Thanks. Sam

Mr. Rooter repaired some aged crushed cast iron pipes in the floor of my condo. They did a good job, the plumber Jim was very concerned and did an excellent job keeping me informed thru the entire process, if any questions arose they called Mike/supervisor and he too was very professional. I can't speak to the price they charged as I have nothing to compare it with.

Update from my previous review. Had a bad experience with the plumbers but the managers Mickey and Mike came out to my house and assured me that the work was done correctly. They refunded me some cash and fixed a leaky pipe. They did everything to make it right. I would use them again.

The company tries to take advantage of the consumer. I called them for an emergency leak and the technician arrived within 1 hour. Upon arrival, he informed me that the repair would cost $700 plus the destination fee of $59. I declined the service and contacted another plumber who arrived the next morning and fixed the problem for half the cost. DO NOT CALL.
