Recommended Customer Reviews

Polite, showed up on time. Had requested drain clean out. Technician, Albert, appeared knowledgeable, tried twice to clear drain, no luck. He recommended a "hydro-wash" or power wash for the drain. Quoted $1300 for service. Paid him for today's work and scheduled. Called the office and asked if any discounts or previous charge would be credited. Definitely not, work done and new service separate charge. Went on line to BBB quote service and received 3 quotes from A plus rated companies as follows, $300, $327 & $350. Cancelled this service and had a rated plumber out to hydro-wash and found line collapsed. Wash out would not help.
You be the judge, are they a good value?

Our sinks in the kitchen were clogged. Albert was here within 15 minutes of my call, got my issue resolved quickly and was in and out within 1 hour and it was less than $100 for the fix. I will definitely use them again. I really appreciate you as we were leaving town tomorrow.

We had the washing machine drain backing up out of the floor drain. Amy worked her magic with my hectic schedule and Austin was polite and professional. He had to snake the line several times and tested it each time till it was draining properly. He even said he was going to give the insurance company an estimate as to the repairs he felt were necessary. These folks are awesome!!!

Would give less stars if possible. I called these guys to repair a leak from a bury hydrant at my home because I was in hospital and wasn't available to do myself. Although they came quickly I received a quote to replace hydrant for $750!! All it needed was an adjustment and leak was fixed. SMH

I don't like to leave reviews like this unless necessary. I've been a customer of Mr. Rooter for a while. I understand in this business that sometimes it can take a while to correctly diagnose and fix a problem, and I am completely fine with that. What upsets me is complete lack of communication, unprofessionalism, and having the scheduler cop a snarky attitude with me when I questioned for the 3rd time in 3 days why the supervisor hadn't called me like I had been lead to believe he was going to. These phone conversations are recorded by Mr Rooter and so if I am exaggerating or being dishonest - please feel free to post the conversations I had with the scheduler to prove me wrong.
I scheduled an oncall tech Saturday morning. He called me later to tell me he probably couldn't make it because his schedule was full. No problem. He called me again at 7:35pm that night while I was at dinner to tell me he was on his way over, so I dropped everything and rushed home to meet him. He was able to fix one issue which involved snaking my drain, but he was unable to diagnose what was wrong with both of my hot water heaters that were brand new installed by Mr. Rooter one year ago. Once again no problem, he said he and his supervisor would call me on Monday and come by and look at it together. Everything is still fine in my opinion. Monday rolls around and I never get a call. On Tuesday morning I called to see what is going on. The scheduler told me that the tech never told her that I needed to be called. Ok now I'm feeling like my time is being wasted, but I said ok please schedule me today. The tech called me back and said the earliest they could come is Friday, after I had been waiting all day Monday at my house for a call and service. AT this point I'm upset however I know that this stuff happens sometimes and I wanted to discuss this with Sean the supervisor. I asked the tech to have his supervisor give me a call. I also called the scheduler on the main office line and asked her to have the supervisor give me a call. They both said "ok no problem." That was Tuesday morning. The supervisor never called me back, so I called again the next morning to ask why. The scheduler told me "you said you were going to go with another company." No I did not. I had another person sitting next to me listening to the call who also verified this. I don't want to ever be the "bad customer" so I always make an effort to be even keeled and polite. I responded to the scheduler that I only asked for the supervisor to call me back because Friday was unacceptable, and she got a higher pitched snarky tone with me and that started with "You know what Mr." and I had to hang up, otherwise I was going to get mad and I didn't want there to be a recording of me upset.
I've been a good customer to Mr. Rooter. I've always been fair with them and I have always been polite. The unprofessionalism I received from them is enough for me to leave a bad review and warn any other potential customers. They might have a few good techs that work for them, but overall their scheduler and supervisor are unprofessional and have zero accountability. Use someone else.

They need to have a system that gives less than 1 star reviews especially for this plumbing company.... Mr Plumber is the ABSOLUTE WORST Plumbing Company in Amarillo. I called them to unclog my sewer line, the plumber that showed up said my line was collapsed and that it was going to need to be replaced. Since my 86 year old Mother and my Daughter lived in the house I needed to get the sewer fixed ASAP, it took them 10 days to even get started, by the way they were charging me over 3400 to do the job, they wanted another 800 to take up my walkway to the shed and to take down a 15 foot section of fence, I did that myself to save the 800....guess again as they were digging up the sewer line they "ACCIDENTALLY "dug up the water line, this is what the plumber told me and preceded to tell me what it would cost me for them to fix it....Go figure they break it and I have to pay for it, Funny Thing, it was 809 to replace the water line almost the same for taking out the fence and walk way....I had also asked the plumber from the VERY BEGINNING when they come to the sprinkler lines to simply cut them on both sides of there ditch so I could fix them back when they were done...I ASKED THAT IDIOT MORE THAN 5 OR 6 TIMES IF HE WOULD DO THAT FOR ME, HE SAID HE WOULD "NO PROBLEM". Guess what again they ripped it up so bad I needed to call a sprinkler company to give me an estimate to fix it.... they told me they had never seen a butcher job that bad from a plumbing company ever. Their estimate was over 3500 to repair the damage that Mr Plumber had done to just the sprinkler system which didn't include the damage they did to the yard and the over 3 foot tall pile of dirt that covered the ditch from the house to the alley which they had buried the OLD sewer line in that dirt as well.....It took them over 2 weeks to finish the job and top of that they covered the ditch in my backyard before the city had inspected it.... the city inspector made them dig up the alley again so they could inspect it but not the rest of the line to the house, I guess they away with that one.....My advice to anyone looking to use Mr Plumber to do ANYTHING for you, DON'T , They Suck At Everything and It Will Only Cost You More Money In The End, That's What They Do....THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!

They did a plumbing inspection on a house we were looking at buying. They did a great job found several problems that would have cost a slight fortune to repair. They saved us a ton of money.

We have used Mr. Rooter for many repairs at home and at work. They always do a phenomenal job at a reasonable price. The level of experience their team has is hard to beat.

Kitchen sink was draining slow. The clog was way down the line. They stuck with it and got it completely flowing again for the exact price they quoted me before they started any work. Have used them before and will use them again.

Yesterday I called for a sewer snake/rotorooter. Upon just starting, the tech called and told me I should install 2 new clean outs for $1,495! I asked if he could just snake it as requested and he said he couldn't as it was in a bind. I said to stop and I would pay him for his time. I was told it would be $238 for the 20 minutes he had spent on the unsuccessful, uncompleted service call. I explained I had NEVER been charged that much for a successful service on a long sewer line. Their response: charges are set by corporate and there is nothing they can do. My usual go-to plumber snaked the line today, it is running perfectly and no new clean outs were needed. Mr. Rooter is deleted from my contacts. Ask for upfront charges before you book any service.
