Duck launched his plumbing venture, branding it as Mr. Rooter. The Neighborly Group took over Mr. Rooter Plumbing in 1989 following negotiations with Duck and Don Neighborly. Although Duck sold the business rights and original franchises, he kept his shop in Oklahoma City. David Duck remains a franchise owner to this day.
