Had them here today to install a steel security screen door and lock. I texted and talked with Ricardo during the week to iron out the details, scheduling a date & time. Showing up promptly, they set to work and were finished sooner than expected. Ricardo replaced my fill valve and ceiling fan. He was punctual on his visits. He showed great deal of patience, explained the problem & solution to it well and he also performed the work to my satisfaction. I had to replace an exterior window trim that was rotted. I specifically asked for treated lumber to avoid the same problem. Ricardo acknowledged but ended up installing untreated lumber (Douglas Fir) instead.

Ricardo gave me an estimate of $265 + parts. He suggested mold treatment so I agreed to have him buy the spray. Since he's going to do some caulking, I asked him to caulk a few cracks along the windows (as a courtesy). These extra work only took a few minutes & I expected it to be included in the labor estimate of $265. However, I was caught by surprise that he charged me an extra $45. So, at the end I was charged $310 for a job that only took 1 hr. An hour job would only cost $125 with 3 Brothers Handyman.

I am not happy that I didn't get what I expected & had to pay more than I expected. I will not being using his service again.
