Mr. Handyman charges for a block of time, not per project. As far as stretching your dollar, you're better off hiring them to do two or three projects that they can fit in a certain window of time rather than just one project because the price might be the same.
I've been doing a few home repairs recently and I've run into some businesses that were interested in upselling me or taking advantage of my situation. The people at Mr. Handyman have high character and were simply interested in helping me out. They were great to work with.
