I would give them three stars but I am knocking off stars for being late AND being asses about it. We live in LA - there is traffic. Plan ahead. Don't be rude to your customer and leave dirt in their shower. I didn't select them (my slumlord did) but I would never use them. Rude, Rude. Did I say RUDE? And late... I do not tolerate LATE or leaving a mess in my shower. Even if the work was done correctly.

Just recently bought an investment property and the house was in serious need of plumbing work. I went out and got bids from several different vendors from the area. MPD plumbing came in as the most comprehensive and most reasonably priced proposal. I also received an excellent referral from Matt's long time customer of 10+ years. Once I agreed to the deal, they came in and did the work right away. I had galvanized water pipes and drains original from when the house was built in 1948. Galvanized pipes collect lead internally and after some time they corrode and eventually you get smaller streams of water, brown rusty water and lead. Which is very unhealthy. The pipes was long overdue for a replacement. Matt and his team came in and replaced all the water lines with American made copper. He also replaced the drains as well. He also added a clean out port to the drain, included a fiber optic video inspection of my drain going out to the street. He was able confirm that my drain was in good shape. When the work was done, I looked under the house floor and I was able to see brand new copper lines with shiny welds connecting them. The drains was also installed very nicely. Every single piece and angle was done by an experienced plumbing craftsman. MPD plumbing has done an amazing job for my house and I appreciate their efforts and quality of work. I would do business with them again. Thanks again!

Both Ricky and Adrian were prompt and unclogged our bathroom sink and bathtub in quick time. They also cleaned up the area before leaving. Very impressive workmanship. I would recommend them to others for great service.

I would give no star if there was an option. and NOT RECOMMEND them AT ALL
we were referred to MPD plumbing by our contractor so we gave them a job to replace some parts. we were referred to use Matthew but I've only talked to matthew once and guy named ricky showed up for the actual job. So I'm not sure how Matthew is.

our first job they came 2 hours late and didn't even call me to let me know so I had to wait and call them to check if they're going to be late or not. (what a great service to let your customer know that you're running late or not)
since they done the job with us last time my husband called them again the next time when we had a drain problem in the other area of our house. Ricky said he'll show up in few hours but didn't instead my husband had to call ricky again to check if he'll be here or not on time!(which was already late!!!) After my husband called Ricky said he's running late because they have some problem at the other job. so that's fine, my husband took a day off for them to come over since they said they will come over!
couple hours later Ricky didn't show up and said he can't come over that day but would like to reschedule and come over the next day 9:30am. (oh my husband's day off was just lost with no progress at all, what a great day off for my husband! waste of time!!)

So the next day 9:30am, (the time and day Ricky promised to come over after changing the time twice and and being late without any notice) of course Ricky DID NOT show up! what a surprise! Since seems like MPD plumbing is always late we waited a little but no phone call or show up. So we called from my husband's phone and my phone like about 11 times to try to get hold of someone at MPD plumbing.
Of course no one answered for the whole time and we get phone call back at 10:56am!! its about hour and half late!!!!!! really?? you think we're just sitting around here and do nothing and our time is not valuable?

so Ricky showed up around 12pm hahahaha are you serious? its 2 and half hours late! I can't believe them oh! actually a day and 2 and half hours late!

When Ricky was here, I asked him if he can call us next time if they're going to be late or can't show up since we can't just wait for them here and I told him I called him many time this morning.
Instead of apologizing, he said ""you only called twice and I called you back to let you know we're running late"" OMG... really I can't believe anyone can be this rude and obnoxious. you can't even say sorry that you're late and not called but blaming me that I only called twice when we actually called 11 times for you to call me back?
and he goes, ""I don't need your business do you want us to leave?"" of course I want your ass out of my porch right now before I kick your ass. are you serious?

If you want any type of professionalism or kindness or customer service, DO NOT call MPD plumbing. They are not even worth a penny.

These guys ARE as good as it gets! Helped us out with a major plumbing issue and a wall furnace problem. Fast, professional and the highest of quality. Would recommend to anyone in need of a great plumber!

It is difficult to believe this place got such high ratings on Yelp.
Matt did nothing. Stood in the driveway smoking a cigarette and talking on his cell phone. It took 5 minutes to replace the thermocouple line. He is located in Gardena and I in Redondo Beach and charged me $210, and guess what as soon as he left, the pilot light went out. I called the gas company a second time and the screen on the bottom of the heater was cleaned with a brush. MPD did not even try this. Bottom line..... was my thermocouple device impaired or did just the screen need cleaning? By the way, I was to get back $50 from MPD. Have not seen it yet.

My Thermocouple went out on my water heater. Called on a Monday morning and Matt was very responsive and arrived in a few hours - on time. Would definitely use him again.
