I live in an old house in the city of St. Louis. My original problem was a leak in the main kitchen drain pipe which was embedded in a reinforced concrete wall. After a plumber from a different company refused to touch it, American Home Shield assigned Mounts. They sent 2 other plumbers on 2 separate days, who didn't fix it. Finally, Mike came out and simply rerouted the drain. But it drained really slowly and eventually clogged. At that point Matt came out, cabled the pipe and installed a mechanical vent. Viola!!! Fixed.
Matt is a Master Plumber"". He is knowledgeable, professional and understanding of what had become a very frustrating experience.
I would recommend this company, but if possible ask for Matt.

BEWARE!!! Sharing my experience with Mounts Plumbing on Cherry in Troy. Water softener installed by them last summer, ""plumber"" they sent did install, had to be called back same day because it was leaking. Last week had ionic water system installed with different water softener (completely different work from water softener Mounts installed - Mounts installed in basement and ionic water system and softener installed in garage). Ionics plumber said our water softener wasn't installed correctly, was hooked up to pipes after plumbing pipes broke off to route through house instead of before pipes broke off to service whole house which means water softener was servicing ONLY bathrooms and ONLY cold water. Had we not had a completely different water system (unrelated to water softener Mounts installed) installed we never would even have known it wasn't doing it's job! This ionic's water system guy had no reason to bash Mounts work since he was doing something completely different/unrelated and certainly wasn't being paid more for fixing anything done by Mounts).
I called Mounts, spoke to office manager explained problem, telling her my expectation was a full or partial refund for work done incorrectly, she said that ""plumber"" no longer in their employ and she'd speak to owner and call me back. After me calling twice a day for 3 days (made initial call Monday or Tuesday), getting voice mail during business hours, and no return calls (last voice mail I left stated I guess I have to drive to your business to get an answer) (the business front is a converted house with windows/door), Friday the following day after no return call the entire week I drove up there, again during business hours. Lights were on, cars in the lot, windows open, I knock on door and window at office area (2 desks there, chairs pushed back as if they were vacated quickly), no answer at door or window, so I'm calling both numbers I have for them while on their porch, GUESS WHAT? I've been call blocked! I left and immediately drove behind business, walked back because I knew someone was there and I see that the blinds to their office were now closed (so obviously someone was in there). Again no answer when knocking on door and I'm still call blocked.
Made the 7 minute drive home and guess what I have an email waiting for me from the office manager stating ""owner said water softener can hook up to any of the cold water lines and since it is no longer hooked up they can't determine if was done incorrectly"" ( and I have photo's).
They never offered to have someone look at the work and in my opinion DO NOT back up their ""workmanship"" but EVEN WORSE their office staff is as UNPROFESSIONAL as I've EVER encountered! I shared this story on our county FB site as warning to consumers and one of the office girls replied with several snotty comments attempting to make me look like a nut job ""scaring them"" by knocking on the door. Funny thing they knew it was me otherwise why do I have an email from your office manager within 5 minutes of leaving your business? Unbelievably childish, unprofessional behavior.

Recently my mother has a horrific experience with Mounts Plumbing - which I am sharing on her behalf below - and they have refused to communicate with her and/or refund any money due to incorrect installation from them in order to make things right;

UPDATE: After 4+ hours of no communication from this company, I filed a dispute for the charge on my credit card company. I called my regular handyman who came out and confirmed that their plumber DID in fact cause the damage because his snake cable went straight through the pipes rather than downward toward the main drain. He fixed the problem with a whopping $6 part. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the state plumbing licensing board and the BBB about their negligence and their incredibly poor customer service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If your home warranty refers to this company, ask them to pick a different plumber!

My kitchen sink wasn't draining properly. I was assigned this company through my home warranty. Of course, this is during the pandemic and so I'm a little concerned about health safety, but need to get my sink fixed.

The plumber who came yesterday was nice enough. And he was wearing gloves and an N95 respirator mask. That made me feel a little better. Anyway, he was snaking the kitchen sink when the machine stopped. He seemed actively confused. Said it was weird the cable wouldn't go any further. He tried to retract it and it wouldn't go more than about 10 inches. He moved it forward and back a few times. Then went to the basement to try to locate where the cable was. He opened the main pipe trap. He returned to the kitchen saying how odd it is that he couldn't see where the cable went. He was finally able to fully retract the cable. We ran the sink for about 15 minutes and it drained fine, so he left.

Fast forward to bedtime. I went to my master bedroom and found the cupboard door under my sink wide open and the bathmat not on the floor. Upon inspection, I see that the pipe under the sink was shattered. There is a 1.5X2.5 inch hole in the pipe with shattered pieces on the floor of the cupboard and on the bathroom floor. There's nasty plumbing water on the floor of the cupboard, and stains on the bathroom floor that go clear across the to the opposite wall (about 3 feet). These stains have the obvious swirl of an active, rotating plumbing cable. The bathmat was twisted and pulled into the cupboard up against the newly shattered pipe.

I called the company first thing this morning. Initially they insisted this damage could not have been caused by them. Insisted that the owner is a ""master plumber"" and he says it's simply not possible. So I emailed them pictures of the damage. Immediately their tune changes. I call to see if they got the pictures and they immediately tell me a plumber will be at my house within an hour to replace the pipe.

Today's plumber is rude and abrupt, and has no face mask (still in a pandemic today....). He's in my house for all of 2 minutes, on the phone with the company telling them he has the wrong size part and needs to go get the right size. He walks out of my house without a word to me.

It's been nearly 2.5 hours and he's not back. No word from the company. I tried calling the number I called this morning. Suddenly it doesn't go through: ""We cannot complete your call at this time."" I call the number in the email signature from this morning's email and on their FB page - that is a non-working number. I email the office manager seeking an ETA of this guy's return so I can get on with my day. No response.

The customer service on this has been among the worst I've experienced. First they deny they caused the damage and initially refuse to address it. When it's clear they are responsible, the guy they send is rude and non-communicative. Then they stop answering their phone altogether. This is not the way to keep customers. At this point, I'm about to call my credit card and stop payment on the service from yesterday. They've got 1 hour to make this right before I go that route.

My pipe in basement was leaking. My warranty service plan picked mounts plumbing. He first diagnosed it as a leak coming from a joint or pinhole. After taking apart pipe he determined leak coming from water pressure regulator. I was not happy my service warranty plan did not cover it since plumber at first said it was caused by a pinhole in pipe. But I agreed to pay out of my pocket for water pressure regulator. He told me had to leave for 30 min to get part at a parts store. He never came back. I called the company who told me he was still trying to find the part. This is after 3 hours. I determined the leak is now an emergency since it is leaking much more rapidly since he came. When I tried repeatedly to call to see where he was they blocked my calls. I had to call another company who immediately installed universal regulator readily available at Lowe's. But for a much higher price that mounts quoted me. Avoid this company at all costs.

Absolutely horrible service! Was told they would stay until job was finished after me being unable to wait until Monday to have my hot water heater repaired. Asked that I be called when they were 20 mins out since I was working and they couldnt give me time on when they would be here. Older gentleman shows up unannounced. Very rude to teenage daughter. When I called office to tell them he should not be in my house with a minor the older gentleman got even more attitude with my child. Then another tech came. They brought a faulty hot water heater. Their words not mine. Office was answering phones after hours until I told them if it wasnt getting fixed tonight then they need to take it with them. The techs walked to their vans. Got in. Drove through our yard and left. Nothing was said. After that the office stopped answering their phones. Tech wouldn't answer his phone. AHS is the only reason this company was in my house. And up until this I thought wow they have really changed from their previous reviews. Do not trust this company or their employees. You will regret it.

I would give a zero star if I could. Had to use them like other folks here per our home warrenty. They missed 2 appoitments. My husband and I had to take day off waiting for them to come. but no show and they said had to reschedule. Fine. then showed up late 2 times (like 2 hours late). They said they had another job in the morning and they had late start? What? Unbelievable!

Extremely helpful and kind when they came to snake my drain. I would give them 5 stars except I asked them to call me about an issue separate from the (home warranty) issue they came out for. No one ever called me.
