Mountaineer Mechanical was founded in 2002 in Little Hocking, Ohio. The company grew from a modest family-owned operation with a handful of employees to 12 by 2008. A new office and warehouse were constructed in 2010. In 2015, an additional location opened in Parkersburg, West Virginia, employing 30 staff members and specializing in heating, cooling, plumbing, and commercial restaurant equipment.

Eddie, raised in Little Hocking, Ohio, shared the same dreams as generations before him, wanting to start his own business early on. His father, a plumber, imparted crucial skills that would aid him throughout his career. Eddie continued his education, focusing on computers, refrigeration, and commercial restaurant equipment. He held various positions, including work with the Electricians Union and Hobart Sales and Service. He eventually moved to Minneapolis, MN, to join Hobart Corporate, bringing his wife and small child along. After a year in Minneapolis and finding out he was expecting another child, he realized it was time to go back to Little Hocking and establish his own business. With the help of great staff and loyal clients, he has created a flourishing business with multiple locations.
