I have had a drippy bathroom faucet for over 2 years. Wasn't bad in the beginning, but around Christmas it became a constant flow. Water bill reflected it as well. I also have been struggling with the toilet tank ""guts"" thanks to Martinsburg's hard water. I'd bought a new faucet and parts for the toilet, but after watching YT and assessing my space and my own abilities...chose to hire someone.

Mark of Mountain View Plumbing gave me a quote based on labor/time for each of these. He's the owner/operator...something I like to support when I can. We scheduled for 9am, he called as he was arriving EARLY! Two hours and both problems fixed with parts I had bought to do it myself. He even fixed my tub/shower diverter stem I was starting to have issues with. We discussed a few hacks to get some more life out of the toilet as hard water is doing what it does. I then asked about my kitchen sink/drain and he verified that I can get RO and a disposal into that space. Now I just need to budget!

As for his hourly rate, it is totally fine for skilled and licensed labor. He didn't nickel and dime for the little things he used (tape, etc). I appreciate that. I also know as a former business owner, he's covering travel costs, insurances, taxes, etc. with that rate. I will be using him for more projects as my own budget permits.

I woke up in the morning to my Sump Pump going crazy and a leak in my hot water heater. Mark was able to get to me that afternoon and suggested several ideas for fixes. Due to how old my equipment was, I opted to replace everything. He finished everything that day and gave me a great price. I couldn't be happier with the service. Mountain View is great.

Mark was fast at responding to my request to service or replace our water filtration/softener system. He gave us a quote that was reasonable and within a few days was out to replace it. He took the time to explain how it works, what salt was best for our system, and that he has us in his records for the annual maintenance of it. Our water feels amazing and tastes like nothing(well water). Thank you, Mark, for getting our water back on track.
