As a fourth-generation owner in the water and sewer industry,
Kent's father, E.J. ""Mort"" Morton, founded the business in 1958.
As the firstborn of eight children, Kent dedicated many weekends and summers to helping his father.
Following his college graduation in 1970 and his marriage to Chris in 1972, Kent became part of the family business.
He has participated in all areas of the water industry ever since.
Kent has held the position of President of the Iowa Well Water Association on two occasions.
He has served on the Board of Directors for the Iowa Onsite Waste Water Association.
