We are dedicated to plumbing solutions in both residential and commercial settings, covering toilet repairs, faucet installations, water pressure adjustments, pipe repairs, and clearing clogs. Moreover, provide services for water heater services including garbage disposal repairs.

Our HVAC division specializes in servicing heating and air conditioning units, which includes heat pump services.

The owner and founder of Morton Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling, is a true Nashvillian. He began his career at a couple of local plumbing businesses and then established his own company. As Jimmy puts it, “I chose to go solo because I knew I could control the quality of my work.”

In 1986, he launched Morton Plumbing with just one employee: himself. He reflects on this decision and says he feels no remorse about taking this leap and felt no fear back then. He welcomed the uncertainties and challenges of running his own plumbing business.

He didn’t need to advertise because he was well-known in the community. People would often call him saying: “I need Jimmy to handle my plumbing issues.” Morton Plumbing quickly gained a reputation for the excellence of its work.

A couple of months in, Jimmy brought on a second plumber to help with the increasing demand. Today, Morton Plumbing has a staff of 10, including his son and step-son. “I love what I do and find joy in helping others with plumbing and HVAC issues.”

I have to say - and I say this very sincerely - I have never had better customer service in my life than with my recent experience with Morton. We had an AC unit die last month and I called Morton, who sent technicians out that afternoon. The men were not able to make the repair by the end of that work day, and Mr. Morton himself called me and truly went above and beyond to make the situation right. The next day, a brand new unit was installed and works perfectly. The installation crew was incredibly courteous and professional and again, I cannot say enough good things about this company, its' owner and the way they do business.

We didn't end up requiring their work because our issue was an appliance issue, not a plumbing one, but I was really happy with the scheduling of a visit and the knowledge of the two guys that came out to the house. We paid $50 for their visit but that will be deducted from any future call or work we have done by the company.

Charges were unreasonable and excessive for services rendered. We thought it was a complicated repair. It was utterly simple & took less than 1/2 hour. Though we were given 2 choices on how to pay, no information was given about how difficult/simple repair would be. So, owner knew we were in the dark. And, obviously, used that opportunity to rook us. Morton refused to adjust amount, giving umpteen excuses. He charged highest repair charge on the scale, and seemed to enjoy rooking us. When speaking to him, he (1) Disparaged the services, accreditation, and experience of other, good plumbers; and ( 2) Retaliated by increasing charges after talking to him. Owner is NOT professional; will rook you by charging the highest rate he possibly can, and thus, lacks character. This is not someone you want in your house. Will return to several other previous plumbers who are reasonable and fair-minded. I have had several great, experienced and kindly plumbers who discuss the work to be done, and make the situation fair for the customer. BROOKS and many others are much better. Do not go to Morton.

Bought my first home and within 2 weeks the drains were clogged. Researched online and felt that Morton's would be a good local choice. They came out and unclogged the sewer line and ran a camera down the drain for a fair market rate. We ended up finding a problem in the line and after a few nice phone calls scheduled the major repair. I was never pressured into buying more work, but I'm glad I was proactive . Turns out the problem was worse than any of us expected and the crew did a great job repairing the sewer line. The guy digging and grading the yard was mad for me at how bad of a job the previous plumber did and he made sure to fix my yard properly and took pride in his work. I knew I was in good hands after talking with him. I received the final bill and was extremely pleased that it was on the lower end of the estimate after what I considered above and beyond work.

Simson came to repair a gas pipe that I wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. Within 30 minutes he was at my place. There was an awkward smell in my house of the gas. When Simson came, he told me that the gas pipe has become loose. He checked all the connections after the repair to prevent any kind of risk. He was very experienced and generous. He further told me the precautions to be necessarily taken under such circumstances as it can be dangerous if not overcome at right time. Thanks a lot Simson for your help. A blower motor went out on my AC unit during a freak Autumn heat wave. Sim and Justin came out the following day. I was impressed by their genuine character and solid work ethic but could they fix the AC unit? Yes, they did, the same day, and at a fair price. But what happened next is what has earned my future business and recommendation. When they replaced the motor, later that day after they'd left, a second, completely different motor failed. (There are two motors in my unit.) I don't know if it was coincidence or a result of the work that was performed, but the next morning I called up Morton's again. Sim came back out, stood by his work, and replaced the second motor, free of charge. This is how you do business. Thank you

Prompt, courteous, CLEAN, doesn't talk down to me, has Saturday appointments (by availability), and HONEST! They explain things well and don't use aggressive upsell tactics. I've used them for several things and am happy that they also do HVAC now, so I feel comfortable calling them for that if I ever need service in that category. Karen, the dispatcher, is also courteous and friendly.

Well, I would have liked to give a review about the service, because when the owner came by for my estimate, he was friendly, professional, and got the estimate back to me promptly. It was a reasonable fee. But I have had so much trouble dealing with the phone staff that I have to pass on them. I really don't want to be lectured by a phone answerer when I am about to hand over close to a thousand dollars. I need three jobs done, and I have been getting different answers from different people on the phones about getting the estimate done. Like I said, the estimate I received was reasonable. But it was incomplete. After two weeks of being told ""Mr. Morton does the estimates"" over and over again, I assumed that this means he would, you know, do the estimates. I am only today learning that he only does SOME of them, and that other people do other kinds of estimates. I also got a bit of an attitude that implied I should have known that they run their business this way. It was a little insulting. I do not expect my customers to understand the ins and outs of my business. It is my responsibility to make sure they know what to expect.

All I want to do is pay to have my kitchen and toilets repaired. I too have a business to run and need to get this done. I was happy to wait for as long as it has taken, but now I'm told they cannot get anyone out here to finish the estimate until NEXT week. I cannot wait another week just to finish the estimates. I would like to begin the work next week. Regretfully I will be staring the whole process over with a new company. It's not what I want to do, but I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth after the way I was treated on the phone.

When my AC and dishwasher went out in the same week, my neighbor recommended Morton Plumbing. I am so glad she did. Sim and Justin came out, and they figured it out pretty quickly. They told me what was wrong with the AC and how much it would be to fix it. They checked the dishwasher for plumbing issues and identified the problem. It ended up being a part that needs to be replaced, so they referred me to an appliance repair company. Their prices were fair (much less than the last plumber I hired for more work) and they were true professionals and dedicated to their work. I love that it is a small, family-owned, local business. I also love that they explain what they are doing and what they are charging. They don't try to do repairs you don't need to pad the bill, which is my chief complaint with a lot of service providers. If you need a plumber, you should definitely give them a call.
