Excellent response time in the middle of a heat wave. Do to the heat, they showed up many hours before they originally quoted. Very knowledgeable and had parts on hand. My father has used Morton's for years and sense I've moved back to the area, I too will always use Morton's for any of my HVAC needs. They are also known for their LOW $25 service call and great pricing. Highly recommend them.

Called Mortan Man to service a furnace in a house I'd just bought. The guy they sent made a lot of noise and said it was serviced, so I can't answer to that. What makes me mad is the guy put a huge Mortan Man sticker over the sticker of the original installer of my expensive new A/C unit, and now I need that information for warranty and I have to figure out a way to peel that shit off and it's not coming off. WTF? Why cover up the people who installed my A/C? What possible use is that to your business? Besides pissing me off so bad I'll never use your company again? Good job. Your advertisements cost you a customer. What a douche bag business practice.

Josh came to our home May 17, 2017. He was excellent, analyzed the problem immediately, was thorough, polite, had a great personality, and showed us exactly what was wrong. We were both amazed at how kind and helpful he was especially as we are seniors and it meant so much to us. We were so thankful the bill wasn't very high because we have had three other bad emergencies happen this week, so we were totally thrilled with the service fee and also the reasonable fee he charged. We will be recommending this company and this young man for a long, long time, thank you Josh!

This company claims 100% customer satisfaction and I can say, NOT. A $25 trip charge and a free estimate somehow turned into ""No up front estimate"" and a huge bill for replacing the capacitor. The cost for the part is $10-$40 retail and about 15 minutes to install. The technician then tells me that he would ""only"" charge me $329 for the part and $25 for the trip. What? I told this guy that I don't do business this way and he can remove the Capacitor and get out of my house. After telling me that there is nothing he can do about the price except offer me a $10 discount, I told him that $100 for an hour + $50 for the part + $25 for the trip, would be more than fair for him. He ended up taking my $175 and left without giving me any kind of receipt. I still got ripped off at that price but it was less than the original $354 that he wanted. I will never again do business with Morton Heating & Cooling / MHC in Independence, Missouri.
