Made an apt for a week-end morning, and Scott (the plumber) was earlier than expected, which was very nice. Aside from two of the things we needed done, we have a bath/shower unit that is more electrical than plumbing, and Scott was honest about not being comfortable working on a unit he had never seen before. So instead of working on it and faking it, he was honest and suggested we call a rep from the company, or get in touch with the original installer. He earned our utmost respect for that. Thank you again for coming out so quickly and for having a great personality. He and my hubby got along famously, and had a lot in common :)

Made an appointment with Diane for the next day. I had a 3 hour window for service which was nice, until they didn't show. After not showing in the promised time frame I called to make sure they would still show later that day. This time I had to leave a message. No one returned my call. No one ever showed. They pretty much waisted my day. At $145 per hour + parts + travel time I figure they owe me at least $870 for my waisted time.

Don't waist YOUR TIME, go with another company.

I have had it with Morrow and Holman HVAC person, Fred! I have had him not show up to an appointment. I have had him lie about coming back to do something and never shows or calls. You cannot depend on him!!! It is beyond frustrating! So, in April 2022 he comes over because our HVAC was not working. He disconnected the A/C wires and said he would be back in a few days to check it. HE NEVER CAME BACK OR CALLED!!! So to bad for M&H, we called another company SOCAL HVAC, John Farrugia, and he was beyond amazing. He returned emails and calls promptly and showed up exactly when he said he would. His installation was impeccable! and NOW we have a fantastic working HVAC system thanks to SOCAL HVAC. M& H missed out on thousands of dollars $$$$$

Great local business - if you're in South Pasadena they're always close and available. Have always been very communicative and punctual with us. Ysmail has helped with two gas issues now and both times we've been very satisfied with his work and etiquette. Small tip as noticed a review complaining of billing for extra time - always good to confirm how long a job will take beforehand and keep an eye on the clock, then raise concerns if taking longer than expected.

Fred Platte is in the midst of fixing ""old house plumbing problems"" for me, that other plumbers have said could not be done. Fred is the most capable plumber I have ever encountered and I would virtually stake my life on this man's work. He is a real craftsman! When I call Morrow and Holman I always ask for ""Fred ONLY"" and know I can expect good work that will last.

We have been using Morrow and Holman for 20 plus years at our properties and they have consistently gone the extra mile to make sure our tenants are taken care of. We haven't found the same caliber of knowledge or work ethic with other companies we have used in the past, MandH stands out in this regard. I have met every employee and have the utmost confidence in them, in part because it's been the same guys for so long! We will never use anyone else. In the age of instant gratification I appreciate a business that takes their time to do the job properly, it saves in the long run.

Have used them for my condo over 15 years. It was great until original owner sold. I used them recently and it was the same plumber Ray I knew who got the job done. However I did clock him this time and they were not honest. Charged me an extra half hour. He also left to go grab a ladder after he started working. I should not have to pay for that driving time. I would use them again since they have great service but I will warn anyone they could be dishonest.

Fred is among the rare breed of plumbers who doesn't by default recommend a big job just because it's easier for them to make a quick buck... ""if it ain't broke, don't fix it"" is not a mantra most plumbing companies live by. (I have the names of at least 3 other plumbing companies who I have on my mind)

Fred spent the time to thoroughly diagnose the issue and recommended just cleaning out the pipes for now and monitoring rather than digging things up to refit a bunch of pipe... a 3 figure job rather than a 4-5 figure job quoted by others.

Two other plumbers tried to convince me of doing much more work than I actually needed. Fred and team did just what I needed.

Thank you for your honesty and not just trying to make a quick buck at my expense.

I needed to replace a flexible pipe under a bathroom sink that was not leaking, but old and had collected grime over many years I had not used Morrow & Holman in years and had good experiences with them in the past. They gave me a window of 9am-noon but when I called they accommodated my hope for an early visit. Ysmael came. He was polite, put on shoe covers, completed the change out quickly and tested and wiped down the area before leaving. It is always great to use and support a local, small business. I expect to have them return to address another bathroom after this experience. Even with the poor reviews, I thought it was worth taking a chance, and now feel now I should share what occurred with my call.
