Starting with a pickup truck, a tool shed, and an idea, Luther Morris established the company. His philosophy was simple: always put the customer first.

In 1990, Dewey Jenkins acquired the company. When Dewey stepped in, the original ""Morris Heating & Cooling Co."" had 12 employees and a strong reputation for quality and honesty, but no service division.

He has maintained Luther's dedication to integrity and added a new focus: making it easy for customers.

When Dewey took over in 1990, Morris-Jenkins, similar to other heating and air firms in Charlotte, was available Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with restricted emergency service beyond those hours.

Morris-Jenkins was the pioneer in offering evening and weekend service at no extra charge to meet customer demands.

As president of Morris-Jenkins, Dewey Jenkins is focused on making the customer experience straightforward.
