Once again we had great service from Mormile, while they fixed our kitchen sink, putting in new pipes under the sink, a new garbage disposal and a new kitchen faucet and soap dispense. And then went upstairs and put in new faucets in our bathroom.

But Jason went above and beyond and fixed another problem that was outside of the scope of work we had contracted for.

We have had nothing but great service from Mormile Plumbing .

4 GENERATIONS OF PLUMBERS DOWN THE DRAIN. This was the content of an Affidavit submitted to the court in a lawsuit by Mormile Plumbing against my general contractor for less than $800. At the very last moment before the trial Jason Mormile withdrew his action and we prevailed. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.

AFFIDAVIT OF XXX

Name: XXX

I, XXX, swear or affirm:

1. That I, together with my wife XXX are owners of a newly constructed home located at XXX New York.

2. That I and my wife contracted with XXX and his company XXX Construction to build the above mentioned home.

3. That Mr. XXX in turn contracted with Mormile Plumbing and Heating for plumbing services on the project, the value of which totaled approximately $15,000.

4. That as part of those services, Mormile installed a grinder pump in the bottom level of the home which almost immediately failed, causing the pump pit to overflow and the toilet to backup rendering the lower level sink, shower, toilet and laundry completely unusable immediately prior to numerous guests arriving for our opening weekend who would otherwise be relying on those facilities.

5. That I, at the direction of XXX immediately called Mormile to report the problem and ask for emergency assistance.

6. That I was unable to speak with anyone at Mormile and was told by taped message that the office was closed for the weekend and that all staff were away on vacation and unavailable to respond to any requests.

7. That given the urgent nature of the situation, I contacted a local plumber in XXX who immediately responded with a visit to the property.

8. That upon demolition and inspection, the local plumber found a tape measure, chard of wood and other construction debris in the pump pit which had caused the grinder pump to fail resulting in the sewage backups.

9. That it was the professional opinion of the local plumber that the grinder pump had been installed incorrectly because it was the responsibility of the pump installer to clear any objects or debris from the work area before installing the grinder pump.

10. That subsequently, the sink in the master bath began leaking into an expensive, custom built ash wood vanity as a result of Mormile overtightening the assembly in the sink and cracking the drain during installation.

11. That the pop up mechanism in the same sink had not even been attached, causing more pronounced leakage and potential damage into the vanity.

12. That I followed up with another call to Jason Mormile the next week to express my displeasure and disappointment in the quality of their work.

13. That as a result of that call with Jason Mormile and his unwillingness to take any responsibility for the above stated problems, I had lost all confidence in his company.

14. That I then told Mr. XXX by telephone that I had lost all confidence and trust in Mormile and requested that the company not be allowed back into my home.

15. That given my immediate request for assistance from Mormile, and having given the company the opportunity to resolve the problems which had gone unanswered, I directed Mr. XXX to back charge Mormile for the amount paid to the local plumber for the removal of the wood chard from the pump and the reinstallation of the pump assembly on the lower level. I did not request a back charge for the repair to the sink assembly since Mormile had not been offered an opportunity to repair it and because I had already requested that Mormile not be allowed back in our home.

16. That on two separate occasions shortly after these incidents, I was in the front yard of my home by the road and saw the Mormile truck drive by, apparently heading to a nearby campsite, and in both instances caught the eye of Mr. Mormile who just continued on his way- clearly not interested in stopping to speak with me.
