We had used Morgan Miller for this rental eight months earlier and they had charged $135 to open the sewer line.
While out of town for an emergency I received a frantic call from a tenant saying that sewage was coming up from the floor drain in the finished basement. I told the tenant to turn off all water and then called Morgan Miller. My wife agreed to meet them at the house.
Water continued to come up through the floor drain and the plumber seemed lost. I told him by cell phone that obviously water was running somewhere upstairs and that he needed to turn it off. My wife called me back 20 minutes later to say the water was still coming up and that she and the plumber were walking up and down the street looking for a sewage manhole cover. She said he never checked upstairs for running water.
I talked to the guy by phone again and demanded that he go upstairs and turn off water. He said that there must be blockage on the main sewer line for the whole street. I said that was impossible because the house was at the top of the hill and that the running water must be stopped immediately.
My wife called back later and said that he had turned off the water to the whole house and then finally looked for running water upstairs. A toilet was stuck and he stopped it. The water coming up through the drain stopped immediately.
He then ran the drain and it began working.
THE PROBLEM WAS THAT HE THEN CHARGED US $250.00! As above, they had charged us $135 to do THE SAME THING at THE SAME HOUSE eight months earlier. ONE MAJOR DIFFERENCE was that this plumber spent most of his time wandering up and down the street, removing manhole covers, turning off the water to the house and doing a poor job of running the line. In other words, he wasted 90 minutes.
THE OTHER MAJOR DIFFERENCE WAS THAT THE PLUMBER WAS DEALING WITH A WOMAN INSTEAD OF A MAN. I am convinced that he felt free to run up the bill because he was dealing with a woman.
When I complained to the management I was told that the job took two hours. I informed him of how his man had wasted 90 minutes and that the wasted time was not my responsibility. He refused to lower the bill. I courteously told him I would have to find a new plumber for our rentals and he said to call someone else. I promised the manager that I would inform as many people as I could about how we were treated.

I turned to Yelp to help me find a plumber when I noticed a small waterfall spilling into my basement. I needed a plumber and the Yelpers pointed me to Morgan Miller. I am so glad I made the call, because these guys really are great. They're very professional, courteous and just plain nice, starting with the woman answering the phones in the office, to the gents coming out to do the work. Bob came out and bid the job (which was a pretty big one), and later Joe came out did a fantastic job installing a new draining system, replacing all the 91 year-old original plumbing. Not an easy job, but he made it look effortless. I even got a thank you card in the mail and a follow-up call a few days later making sure everything was still in working order and that I was satisfied. Truly great service!

My boyfriend and I were having problems with our kitchen sink that went from backing up to leaking. I checked Yelp for plumbers and chose MMP based on the consistent 5-star reviews (sorry to give you the first 4-star).

We found them to be friendly, prompt, straight-forward and their pricing pretty fair. They came out and determined our problem to be much worse than we had hoped. We were able to get a quote from them, relatively quickly. (They sent a project manager out a couple days later to reassess the situation before giving us the quote.)

When we scheduled the ""demolition"" they were, again, prompt and friendly. While originally they said it would be done in a day, they had to stretch it to two days. Still for the amount of work they were doing that seemed understandable.

It is this second day that gives them the 4 star rating. These folks are excellent plumbers! Just not so great on concrete work. We are happy with everything they did except how they poured the concrete. It just seems rough and not quite as good of work as we were hoping.

Still, we're happy overall and will be repeat customers (hopefully not too soon though!)

I know they already have great reviews here, but I have to add another one! Our water heater died, we needed a new one... yada yada yada. We called around a little but liked the reviews for this company and went for it based on what sounded like a fair deal and straightforward pricing.
Of course, this happened to our family during Snowpocalypse 2013! But here's the deal- they showed up! Early! They got it done quickly, efficiently, and without even once attempting to sell me a bunch of extra crap I didn't need. And here's the thing that tops it all: the guy shoveled my driveway, my sidewalk, and my steps. HE DID. I could not believe it... he could have cleared a little path for them to roll the heater into the house, but he went the extra mile! He also replaced a little valve for our fridge at no extra charge.
Highly recommend... it's nice to find good companies with good people!

I had trouble with a brand new kitchen faucet I had installed and not knowing if the problem was the installation of my water pipes, I decided to call a plumber. After reading the reviews on Yelp I decided on Morgan Miller. Am I glad I did. Their high rating is well deserved. It took 3 visits (and buying a different type of faucet) to fix the problem, but each visit was necessary and not caused by faulty work on the part of Jason, who did our work all three times. I had installed the first correctly, but the product itself was faulty (from a company I've used and trusted for years.) Everything Jason did was prompt and cost-effective. No hidden fees or charges for work they didn't do. And discounts on two of the visits, to boot. Customer service is excellent. Courteous, clean, efficient and very reasonable. Who could ask for more? Morgan Miller is my plumber from now on.

Absolute professionals! I called they were on time the pricing was correct. I was a new customer and they gave me a discount for that. No jacking around did the job, friendly and gave good advice. I will never use another plumber. I used them because of the excellent reviews on yelp. Give them a try you won't be sorry.

We have an older home in Prairie Village, KS.... so, with an older home, comes older cast iron pipes. We had a pipe rot through that drained our kitchen sink, dishwasher and washer. My brother and I tried to snake it but to no avail! I read reviews on Yelp about the great work Morgan Miller had done and gave them a call. They had a plumber out to our house in an hour and got a quick quote on what it would cost to replace our pipe. A dug out floor, 7 feet of replacement pipe and a filled in concrete gap in our basement later and we have a fully functional house again! The Morgan Miller plumbers were friendly, cleaned up their mess and had us fixed in a day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone out there. Most importantly, they gave me a follow up call to see if everything was working as planned and if I had any questions or concerns. A+!

its the day before thanksgiving. my whole family is coming over tomorrow. my mainline is clogged and its 7pm. these guys came right over. gave me clear prices over the phone and than gave me a first time customer discount. did a great job. didnt try to string out the clock. just cleaned the pipe and left as promised. very pro.

I have used Morgan Miller several times. Both for small jobs and for big jobs. Most recently I called them for a leak inside a wall. I was expecting a whopper of a repair bill. They came out in less than a hour after I called them and the bill was much less than I expected. Their service is very consistent. Each time I have use them, there were no surprises (unless you count surprisingly good service) I could not recommend them more highly.

Had water heater issues. Called Morgan Miller Plumbing and was greeted by a friendly and courteous person. My original appointment was from 12-2pm. They called ahead to see if they could show up earlier. The plumber was professional, explained the issue and took care of it quickly. Very satisfied. Great experience.
