I had a great experience with Troy from More than Plumbing coming to repair my toilet under my home warranty. He was friendly, professional, and took care of the problem efficiently. He explained why the toilet malfunctioned, and he had the right replacement parts on the truck. Also, both Troy and the trainee were really considerate of my home, using ""clean"" shoe coverings and just keeping the whole experience low impact. (PS: the location on my Yelp profile says I'm in Washington, but I'm actually in the Ann Arbor area.)

Very disappointed with this company, Johnnie came out on June 24th and told me that the main sewer line broke in our home, I filed with our homeowners, So State Farm has been waiting for the Plumber to contact them, I called twice and I am fuming at this point, here it is July 9th Today I called at 8:00 I wanted to speak with the Manager but again the answering machine, I told them I was going to use there service but if they can't return State Farm or mine call, will have to go with another company it has been two weeks we are staying in a suite, so now I am forced to find another company. I am totally furious, almost 2 weeks in and still no reply NOT TO MENTION THE COST!
CAUTION: CONSIDER VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY!

We purchased a home warranty, this is the company they referred us to, so naturally I looked them up and the reviews were horrible, I really wanted to call my warranty co and tell them, but I didn't I figured as long as they wore masks I'd give them a try. I was answered immediately, given a day and time, I was told they would call me an hour out, she called, the plumber was friendly, wore a mask and took care of the problem. They are a great company, timely, polite just an all around good experience. So if you're reading these reviews give them a try, you'll be glad you did. I will be using them again for any plumbing problems in the future warranty or no warranty.

I would have not chosen this company on my own based on their already bad reviews, but our Home Warranty Company choose them. I gave them a chance they came out and Jason the plumber said that the system we have shouldn't go out for 20 years so the previous owners probably put a sumb pump in. A quick search of the part after he left told me that was not true and these pumps do not normally last 20 years. Then the first lie happened when he told me he tried to call in a request to our warranty company and they must be closed for the Holidays. He did not place this call as I was standing there the whole time. A week later he still hadn't submitted his invoice to our home warranty company they had to call him several times to request the work order. Then when he finally submitted it he claimed we put baby wipes in the tank and that broke it. First we don't own baby wipes and never have so that is impossible. Second there is no way he could make that claim based on not pulling the lid of which he did not do. Stay far away from this company. They are not responsive and are not honest.

After three rescheduled appointments, Rich came out to quote my bathroom remodel project. He took notes on the number of items I asked to be quoted. I was told the quote would be sent in a couple of days. After I followed up a week later, I received a 3 line quote of which one line made no sense and numerous items were omitted. For this they charged $65. I called requesting a follow up for a more complete quote. I was told by Rich he would arrive between 3 and 6 but failed to show. Seems like they aren't interested in doing business. Pretty useless....a company to avoid.

Worst company ever to do business with. Very unprofessional. It has been 3 weeks since their tech came out to my home to repair my hot water tank. My family has had to stay in a hotel and we have not gotten anywhere with this company. But rude employees and lack luster service and no return calls from management. My hot water tank went out the beginning of the month. I was referred to this company by my home warranty company (American Home Shield). The tech came out to my home on Sept 2 to access the damage. He told us that our entire tank would need to be replace there was no repairing. He would put the order in and it should take about a week for it to be processed and then he would be back to install once the new tank was in. He assured us this was a priority and would be treated as such. We have not seen or heard from the guy since. I called my warranty company on the 9th to find out what was going on because no one had contacted me. To be told that my hot water tank has been at Home depot since the 7th and the only person who could pick it up was the tech from the More than Plumbing. So I called this company and was told that they would not be able to pick my tank up and install it for another week due to being short staffed. And that my tech would not be working in my area until the week of the 15th and he is the only person who could do the install because they do not allow tech to work a site that another tech as diagnosed. Which blew my mind since there was nothing diagnosed at my house except the new tank needs to go in. So then I was told that no one techs are available until the 15th. So here we are the week of the 15th and we get a text saying the tech will be out to install between 12-4 he was headed to pick up tank. Tech never shows. Call the company no answer. Left several messages only to get another text message saying they were unaware the tech never showed but they could reschedule for today between 2-6. And here we are again 5:57 no return call and no tech....and still no hot water. I have three children in my home. This has been the biggest inconvenience of my life. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars now in hotel stays because of this company as a well as the home warranty's bad business practice. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DUE BUSINESS WITH THEM or AMERICAN HOME SHIELD.

I will NEVER call this company for any plumbing needs.

I've been working with MTP on a service request through my warranty company since June (it's now September). It's been a back and forth battle between the two to get a camera approved to diagnose an issue. I called MTP today to let them know the latest after talking with my warranty company.

What do they tell me? Oh, our camera broke and we no longer have it, so you should contact your warranty company and have them assign the ticket to someone else. Talk about a slap in the face, especially after working with them since June to get this camera approved.

And on top of that, they keep telling me the camera is never going to be approved. Why do they care...that's my issue with my warranty company. But to just tell me oh by the way, our camera broke, so have your company assign the ticket to someone else...what a way to wipe your hands clean of the whole situation. Customer service at it's worst.

I have a leak in my basement. Called Monday for service, was told they would be out between 8-12 on Tuesday. Tuesday at 1:00, I hadn't heard from them and no one had shown up. I called them, and was told the tech was running behind and he would be here before five. I had a 1:30 appointment, so I asked to be out first on the schedule for Weds, and was told that someone would be out by 9:30 Weds. Weds at 10:30, no one had shown up, no call. I call them, and am told that he went to a different job but I was next and he would arrive by 11:00. 11:30, no show, no call. I call again. I'm told that he went to another job, and then they told me ( I didn't ask) the exact address where he was. (Watch our they give out other customers addresses), and he would arrive ""shortly"". Finally showed up at noon, was incredibly rude and refused to look at both leaks that I asked to have looked at.

Update: returned from vacation to find the leak still active. They sent a different guy out, just as incompetent as the last.

This used to be Beck plumbing, they changed their name to hide their terrible reviews but don't fall for it. Find a real plumber.

Update again: after they quoted me 1000 to find the ""invisible"" leak, and I chose to get another opinion.... it wasn't a pipe. It was the condeser on the AC causing the water. This company is crap and trying to price gouge people.

Had an old water heater from the time my house was built that needed replacement (20 years old). More Than Plumbing was sent out through AHS warranty company. Frank showed up and assessed the problem pretty quickly and gave me a quote. Waited a few days for the warranty company to do their job. There were a few modifications to the pipes that needed to be done that the warranty wouldn't cover since water heaters are different sizes than 20 years ago (not that shocking). They were able to schedule as soon as they received the heater from AHS. Frank came out right on time and got to work. Was knowledgeable and professional and got the water heater installed. It was a bit more than I would have liked to pay having a warranty and everything, but hey.... My water heater is replaced and they did the job. Honestly the worst part of the experience was the American Home Shield Warranty company.

Had a great experience with Mike from More Than Plumbing. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about our toilet leak. He answered all of my questions, provided options and context around possible solutions and made sure everything looked better than when he arrived. Would recommend him to anyone with a plumbing need!
