EXCELLENT SERVICE & WORKMANSHIP

I purposely waited a month before posting a review to make sure that my re-pipe job was still working good. My house had many leaky pipes so it was time to get it redone with copper pipes. I was referred to Moran Plumbing.

When I called Moran Plumbing, I spoke to Robin, who was very nice and efficient. We set up an appointment to meet with Rene, the owner. Rene arrived promptly and gave me a fair price estimate. I was impressed with his vast plumbing experience and how organized he was. He gave me a folder with my printed job description/estimate and related plumbing information.

My re-pipe job took 4 days to complete. Rene had 2 assistants and they did a fantastic job. They arrived on time every morning and worked the entire day. I had a couple of extra things that I needed done (replace an old toilet, replace a bathroom sink faucet and 2 flow valves in toilets). Rene added a fair rate for those extra jobs. What really impressed me was what a great job they did with patching the holes in the drywall after they were finished with the re-pipe. You couldn't even tell where the hole used to be. In addition, Rene noticed that my water heater in the garage was not installed properly so he fixed it. I was very pleased with this entire job!

I would highly recommend Moran Plumbing for your plumbing needs, not only for re-piping.

I urge that you contact ANY OTHER plumber! After dealing with them through our condo association since 2008, I can not say one good thing about this company. I can say, if you hire them, you will over pay for poor workmanship on suspicious ""needed repairs"". We now use our own plumber for issues in our condo. Honestly, I have NO idea who the other reviewers are talking about!

I second the comments about the honesty of the business. Took a shower one morning and no hot water. Scheduled an appointment the same day and Joe the plumber came out. Joe's first question upon arrival was ""how old is the water heater"" and ""is it still under warranty""? He could have very easily just said ""you need a new water heater"". Joe started making calls to the manufacturer to determine the status of the warranty. The manufacturer sent out a part that will be kept for a future replacement part as Joe was able to get the water heater working. Any future plumbing issues I will definitely call Moran Plumbing.

Thank you Moran Plumbing! As typical when a husband leaves for a business trip, something's goes wrong! After frantically calling husband who was boarding his plane and giving me ideas, I remembered I pass Moran's plumbing everyday... Called them and the owner was at my house in 10 minutes!! Don't waste your time with anyone else. Honest service, lowest price . Fast service in and out in about 1 1/2 hours . Even had the parts with them .

In desperation, I was going on a vacation to another country and the night before, my downstairs toilet had decided to make an enormous and very smelly mess, which nearly spread to the living room carpet!

Faced with a broken toilet that is well-used by the way, I knew I had to jump on this! So I consulted my local businesses to find a plumber. I called Moran because they are local and I figured they'd get round to me quickly. We set an appointment. They arrived bang on the promised time and immediately set to figuring out what was wrong with my toilet... They told me the truth about my 10-year-old toilet and gave me a fair price to replace it, which they did in about 20 minutes flat.

The price, installed, was not a nasty surprise and we have since already benefited from a greener water usage too. God only knows what other problems we would have had if they had just fixed up our antique toilet, which they demonstrated was really full of problems waiting to happen!

On the way out, they also fixed my irrigation valves, which had been leaking for longer than I could remember and added the labor that involved for a price I felt was a gift!

I thoroughly recommend Moran for speed and quality of service with no surprise charges. They really do do you a favor! :)

I was having problems with my water regulator so I tried to change it out. After making the situation worse, I called Moran Plumbing. It was after 9 PM and I had no water. Rene the owner came out less then 30 minutes later and fixed my regulator. At that point my hot water pressure was still very low, so he tracked the problem to a water heater problem. He fixed it and my water pressure is great. Many plumbers would have tried to get you to buy a new water heater, but Rene was honest and knowledgeable. He did a great job and was very helpful.

Quick version: Very happy with the speed and quality of service; no surprise charges.

Long version: I just moved to Santa Clarita, and all my neighbors kept talking about how hard the water is. So I went online, did my research, and ended up buying a Pelican whole house filter and no salt softener (yes, yes, I know it's technically a conditioner).

The website said how easy it was to install. The website is a lying liar. It requires special tools and parts not included with the system. Calling around I got insanely high estimates for installation. I was about to just pick a random plumber when I called Rene over at Moran. He had recently installed two similar systems, his prices were fair and by far the lowest of the others I had called, AND he was even able to fix the drywall he had to break through to get to the pipes.

The day of, he showed up on time, we discussed how to get the system to look neat and take up a small footprint in my garage, and he got to work. He was done very quickly, and texted me a picture of the job while I was at work. I was so happy with the results - aesthetically, it was as good as it could get, and everything works fantastically.

After calling my Home Protection Ins. Co. to clear a drain and being told the problem would cost $3.468.00 to repair I called Moran Plumbing.
The problem was fixed in an hour by Hydro Jetting. The Plumber ""Miguel"" was familiar with the layout of the house, he was clean and polite. Moran Plumbing repiped my house about 10 yrs ago and was in and out in a day. I will not be calling my insurance company for any more plumbing problems.

As we tried to address a broken flush issue, we discovered the toilet water valve was non functional, the main valve not fully efficient, and, much worse, that we had a huge water back flow coming from wherever in the house. It turned out the water regulator was no longer working and was causing a lot of havoc throughout the house unbeknownst to us.

I have to add that the plumbing problem was compounded with a much larger issue. It is my elderly father-in-law's house. He has historically been very leery of allowing any stranger in his house and decision to make it happen would always be postponed to a later calendar, eventually never taking place. I described the situation to Robin over the phone who eventually suggested that Joe handles the assignment,

Joe came within less than 2 hours of my initial call, assessed the situation, kept me in the loop over the phone as he made his discoveries, and completed the job. I am not only happy with the plumbing outcome but appreciate very much the quality of Joe's communication. Even more important to my family, our father-in-law is happy with outcome. This means he will now trust us with bringing other trusted contractors to help him out.

As mentioned in another review, Moran Plumbing bills per task. This can become a bit of a burden very quickly. Having said that, I was more than willing to pay the price for unconditional satisfaction.
