Moore Home Services was established in 1991 in Sacramento, CA by brothers Kenny and Jerry Bell. Having spent over 25 years in the field, we have expanded our services to encompass plumbing, ductwork, insulation, and window solutions alongside heating and air. We have secured more than $5,000,000 in Home Energy Upgrade rebates for our clients, establishing ourselves as a frontrunner in California's Home Energy Upgrade Program with utility companies such as SMUD and PG&E. Currently, we operate 140 service vehicles and employ 200 dedicated professionals who serve the greater Sacramento area and its seven neighboring counties, as well as Hayward and the Bay Area. In 1982, Jerry and Kenny Bell enrolled in HVAC school in Phoenix, Arizona, where they mastered the fundamentals of heating and air. Graduating at the top of their class, they entered the trades to gain practical experience. In 1985, they ventured into the pizza industry, opening a pizzeria in their hometown while simultaneously working for local HVAC contractors. In 1991, they founded Moore Home Services, starting with a single converted pizza delivery truck and an ad in the phone book. While making pizzas, they eagerly awaited service calls, swiftly changing their shirts to serve customers when the phone rang. The HVAC operation relocated from the pizza shop to a dedicated facility in 1995, where they hired their initial staff. Their aim was to become the leading heating and cooling service provider in the region. Today, Moore Home Services stands as the largest heating and air conditioning company in the Sacramento area.

Beware! Scam! PG&E found a simple gas leak in my rental unit. They left gas on to the unit but shut off supply to the stove. McDonald's came out, did not even understand what I talking about, said the problem was very complicated and sent me a quote for over $11,000 to replace all lines from the meter into the house. Another plumber replaced the faulty part later that same day for under $200. Do not use this company!

We're happy that Francisco came to diagnose and give us an estimate on our ac system. He said the circuit and coil needed replacement but since the unit's old, we should consider replacing the whole unit, with a quote of $12,000. We reached out to another place. They came out and did a diagnostic. Instead, it was the transformer that was burnt. Francisco never mentioned anything about the transformer, don't know why he didn't catch that. During Francisco's visit, we smelled a burnt smell but didn't assume much until our 2nd opinion came through. We did not replace our system and are Happy with our ac system running smoothly. We're not confident in referring our family and friends to your company. Thank you for your time.

BEWARE!! These guys were going to charge my tenants over $700 for a new capacitor and quick start unit for their A/C. Fortunately I was able to intervene. With the telephone assistance of my regular service man (Christensen A/C), I replaced the capacitor myself. It took 5 minutes at the most and the part cost $7.50! A reputable company would have charged about $120 including the service call which is more than reasonable. Companies like McDonald prey on people that don't know any better during heat waves. These same people are likely thankful when the cool air starts flowing again, not knowing they have been gouged. I think it demonstrates a complete lack of business integrity and should be criminal!

Props to McDonald. I received a phone call asking about my experience. I shared it with them. Was asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I said no not unless it's to discuss a refund. I then received a receipt in the mail showing that they refunded the $59.50.

I had a good experience with Mc Donald HVAC. The technician (Gabe) identified the issue swiftly and offered different options for the repair. It was refreshing to be informed and not deal with hard sales. I really liked the way this company used technology to make the entire experience easy and timely for both the technician, the customer and themselves. Gabe was the technician you hoped you'd have coming to your house. He was quick, knowledgeable, very clean on what could be a messy job. He was timely and the Mc Donald ordered the parts we needed within a week we were good to go. Excellent customer service with the ordering and scheduling department and the tech Gabe coming out again to do. The replacement so he know the issue.

What started as a bad experience turned out to be quite helpful in determining my tankless water heater issues. McDonald Plumbing went above and beyond to make sure any wrongs were corrected and I had a good overall experience.

When I first called them it was because they were specifically listed as an authorized contractor for work on Rheem tankless water heaters. I explained this to the gal who answered the phone, but somehow she dropped the ""tankless"" part and sent out a technician who was unfamiliar with my type of water heater. It was ultimately a half day off work and wasted time.

Fortunately, they called me back immediately about the mixup and rescheduled for the next business day. They also only charged me the $59 price for a traditional water heater diagnostic test (which is what they originally quoted me) as opposed to a hundred+ cost for a tankless inspection.

The biggest plus was working with John. As their tankless water heater specialist, he was very polite, very knowledgeable and didn't beat around the bush when diagnosing issues. Ultimately I will have to get a new water heater as my current problems didn't qualify under warranty, but John was very helpful in getting me to a solution for my problem.

Unfortunately, we've had to search for a plumber on two different occasions in the past few months by chance, and we initially selected McDonald plumbing for some repairs to our main water line. We were extremely pleased with the level of service, communication, and quality, especially with their employee John B. They pay attention to details, clean up like they were never there, and inform you every step of the way. So, when I needed a plumber again for a different leak, I contacted McDonald again, and John showed up again the same day. I can't thank them enough for the level of coordination in getting someone out in a hurry, and providing again, an awesome service. McDonald is batting two for two with me, and I'd recommend them to anyone.
