Moore Home Services was founded with a key inquiry. How can we effectively position in the competitive HVAC market? The resolution to that question emerged over a modest meal in 2009. I was using Yelp to find a plumber. I saw that Moore Home Services had nearly 5 Stars and carried most parts needed for a job. I quit looking for others and choose them. That evening I received a call from Bell Brothers saying Moore wasn't going to make the appointment and they could for $99 that would go towards repair. I didn't want to start over and lose another day so I agreed.
The following day Bell asked for nearly $800 to install a $30 part also they were late. No Thanks! Next time Moore call yourself if you can't make it.

We have an old heater 15 years old. Emanuel came out and we discussed replacing one of the heater motors. After receiving, and installing the new motor, the new motor was faulty, and he had to re-order another one, (not his fault, of course), because things happen. We were impressed by his work ethics. Bottom line he's been to our house four or five times in the past two weeks. Finally, after replacing many other parts, the heater is working like a champ. Your company is lucky to have a person like Emanuel, who does good work for your customers, and deserves to be recognized.

I signed up for Moore Home Services We Care program at $20/mo. Tech came on a scheduled maintenance visit and found that a motor fan capacitor on my furnace was wearing out and suggested replacing it. The invoice for this little item was $346.00. I ended up paying but was upset at the cost of this little item. I did research online and found the identical unit at Home Depot for less than $12.00. I called Moore Services and demanded that the old unit be put back in the furnace and I would have someone else install it. Of course my old unit had been tossed, but they offered to come and install my new unit for $220 service call.
I am canceling their services and I do not recommend them for their usurious for their prices.

We paid over $24,000 for a replacement of our heating and ac 5 yrs ago. Since then, we had 2 major malfunctions, both during the summer and 90+ degrees. The first time, it was a circuit board issue and took the entire summer to replace it. The second time is right now and the system needs a new blower. We are being told the part has been ordered, asking for a ""overnight"" delivery. That was a week ago. Once again, we're getting the runaround. We hold a Moore rep ""we think we got a lemon"" and the response was ""we get that a lot""! Very reassuring! We were told we were getting ""the top of the line system"" which we felt we needed since I have a serious asthma problem. Now we're also being told we need to ""upgrade"" our air scrubber, which we were told we were initially buying 5 yrs ago! I would never recommend Moore and tell anyone to selection another HVAC COMPANY. Moore is not trustworthy nor reliable.

On a cold Saturday evening our Carbon Monoxcide alarms went off throughout the house. The fire department was called and they found moderate levels of CO2 from the furnace. The gas was shut off, the heater turned off and a call was placed to Moore. After talking to the after hours representative we decided that we would be fine until Monday. An appointment was made, the technicians (Ray and Cote) were on time (even early with a pre- visit call) and after a thorough inspection it was determined that a new furnace and AC unit was needed (AC was no longer compatible with new furnaces). They were able to install the furnace on Tuesday and the AC on Thursday of the same week. Ray was so easy to work with and even showed up at the house on Tuesday to bring refreshments to me and the workers. Austen who was the lead on the installation walked us through the highlights of the system including the new thermostat. A bit of shell shock over the cost but after seeing all the work that was done we are very pleased with Moore and our new system. A big thank you to: Ray, Cote, Austen, Jose and Dan for turning a bad situation into something positive.

Still waiting on a call back. I am a gold member and I got home today my home temp was 75 at 5pm we got home at 6 and turned the air on and it is now 85 at 10pm at our home. $ 35,000later and I need to sleep in my RV

I called these folks, Moore Plumbing, to do two things, one, to install a new 20' long gas line for a new stove, possibly a 20' single cold water line, and two, to sign me up for routine HVAC bi-annual service

They sent a tech out, for the estimate on the gas line. He came out did a preliminary inspection, and told me he couldn't give me an accurate estimate without going into my attic and sub basement, but that was going to cost $395 to get done. I gave the go ahead, figuring whatever I spent on the estimate would come off of the cost of the actual work if approved.

Wrote the check, they sent back an estimate of $$3300 not including estimate cost, not including materials. They also wanted to come back for stove install, wouldn't put stove back in place either.

The average cost for this type of work in Santa Rosa is approx. $750 to $1200, with materials running about $200. It is easy to research this on the Internet.

So basically I was ripped off for $395.

At some point they called to check on my response to their "" customer service"" email. I explained I would not use them because they quoted a ridiculous price. I also voiced my dissatisfaction over my estimate billing not being applied towards the work. Thats when the gal said she would talk to management and they woild work with me on the price. Yeah right!

I went with Curoso Plumbing for a total of $1400. Excellent work, free estimate, same day work, 5 stars all the way around. I am a repeat customer of theirs and will continue to be in the future.

And now item two, the service contract for my HVAC.

At 7:00 am in the morning on the day of service, I get a voice message that they have two technicians out sick, and that they would not be able to provide service that day. They also wanted me to call back, and reschedule the service at my inconvienence. Yeah, right, again!

Don't trouble yourself using these price gouging flakes. Not trustworthy at all.

Many thanks to tech Jeff. He cleaned and serviced my heater, told me how it operated and what to listen for in case it developed a problem. He even checked my water heater and went under the house and checked all my duct work. He changed my air filter because I had one there as well. He did not pressure me to sign up for the monthly service plan which I declined. Thank you for your friendly and professional service!
