Don did a great job helping us with a leaky bathtub and a clogged kitchen sink. He did his job quickly and for much less than others here in the SCV. I think we've found our new go to plumber.

I recently moved back to Canyon Country to assist my elderly parents. They had a leaking water pressure regulator in the front of the house that needed to be replaced. I searched for plumbers in the area and the one closest showing on maps was Don from Moonlite Plumbing. Upon first contact on the phone he replied to a voice mail I left. He was sarcastic, and condescending. He asked me what size the fittings were and said I ""wasn't at the repair location"". Then Don asked me ""how big is your home?"" I found this odd and responded ""four bed-room home"" then Don responded ""You mean to tell me you don't know the size of your home?"" in a condescending sarcastic tone. I responded that its ""1989 square feet"". Don continued that ""you have probably 1-inch fittings then"". There were many other things that he went over but you get the idea. We scheduled the appointment for the following day between 10:00am to 12:00pm.
The following day when Don arrived he immediately disclosed that:
1. he didn't know the regulator was so close to the wall;
2. the part he purchased isn't the right one
3. he spent more time than he needed to on this job
4. that he could have done two other jobs for the time he's spending on this job

My wife asked Don if he wanted to continue with the job, replacing the regulator and if he didn't want to we understand. We were under the impression that he didn't want to do it because he had two other jobs and all the extra work he had to do in replacing the regulator
I suggested that he go ahead and do the two other jobs he has, and we schedule for the following day at the same time between 10:00am and 12:00pm.
The following day Don did not let us know what time he was going to arrive between the window of 10:00am to 12:00pm. At around 12:30pm I called Don to cancel the service to let him know I would find someone else to do the job. Don responded ""What did you say?"" I responded that ""I wanted to cancel and that it was more than he was willing to do"". Don responded ""that's f**ked up with all the time I spent and the work that I did?"" I responded to Don ""you didn't do any work; I apologize but we had an appointment between 10:00am to 12:00pm"" which he didn't fulfill, it was 12:30pm when I contacted him. It was the complaining and all the extra information that I didn't need to know about the job, his life, and his medical status.
Don then immediately called back demanding $95.00 for his time; we did not sign a contract. He then came to our residence, beat on the door, and when we didn't answer he parked in front of my house and proceeded to text me for 2-3 hours. I then called the Sheriff. The Sheriff arrived and we explained what happened and Don was told to go home and to deal with this as a civil matter. I had to spend 2-3 hours waiting for the Sheriff to arrive unable to leave because of Don stalking, and harassing sitting in front of our house.
It doesn't end there. The following day and as recent as yesterday, Don continued to text me threatening messages that he will take us to Small Claims Court. And how he would ""leave us alone"" for the $95.00. There wasn't a need to respond to any of his texts at this point.
I would not recommend Moonlite Plumbing for your service needs. I chose a local plumber as to support businesses in my local community. Instead of doing the service it was nothing but condescending and sarcasm from the initial call, to complaining. I eventually had the service work done using Yelp's finding a plumber feature. The plumber came to our house gave us two options for servicing the entire replacement of the manifold or just replacing the water pressure regulator. We opted to replace the water pressure regulator. We paid more than what Moonlite Plumbing was going to charge us. However, we were glad to pay more because the competing plumber was professional, punctual, and most importantly polite.
