Phil B.Went with 2 stars because they can provide good service, but $340 for a pressure switch for labor only on a unit they installed 6 years ago is total BS. So I knew about the $90 to have someone show up and diagnose, he did that and said it was a pressure switch. So I was charged $250 to walk to the truck, walk back, attach 3 wires and 1 screw at the front of the cabinet. All he could say is ""well that's our standard rate for that service"". Well it's a load of shit if it's true or not. He was able to travel 1/2 there and 1/2 hour home and work for 1/2 hour for $90, then suddenly they charge $1000 per hour after that. OHHHH AND he told me that was a discount....
Nicole L.I've honestly had nothing but bad experiences with Moon Air. We were buying a home and the HVAC did not seem to be working properly so the seller's had Moon Air inspect it and they said it was fine. We bought the home, only to find for certain that it was not working. Moon Air came out and found a sensor had gone bad but refused to stand by their inspection stating that ""sensors can go bad at any time"". After that, our system was still not working properly so we called them again. They came out and changed our thermostat thresholds and said that it was fine and that there was nothing wrong with the system, though it continued to act up. Today Moon Air returned for regular maintenance to prep for the AC. The guy who came today said he looked through the file and saw where Moon Air had recommended that the capacitor be replaced to the old seller, yet they failed to put that in their inspection report. He also said the system was too small for the home- again, it was never placed in the inspection report. We are so done dealing with them. We have a service contract with them but will be going elsewhere from now on. Our experience with them has wasted our money without fixing the problem and the company has overall been dishonest with us on 3 separate occasions. Please save your money. We'll be replacing our unit using another company.
Tony L.A slick rip off artist at the least did not have a thermostat so they charged me $109 dollar just to walk through my door l got a thermostat at a local hardware store for $17 and had it replaced in three minutes
Jay B.I had no problem with their service, respectful, knowledgeable and any problems on their end were fixed quickly. However, this year membership rates were doubled for the same membership from last year, and since I only have a single unit to service; there's no benefit for me with or without a membership.
Update 10/20/2017
Moon stated the combustion chamber on my furnace was going to need to be replaced(cracks,lining)and it would cost $1,000 for repair. Come to find there were no cracks, it looked very good, for it's age, and it can be done cheaper.
So it's August it's hot and guess what quit working, my heat pump.
So I call Moon air. I need a replacement. They tell me a salesman will be out in the morning.
To my behold it's Steve Moon. We sit down and discuss the particulars of size SEER and other issues.
We agree on a price and he offers next day install.
Out come two wonderful employees JP and Anthony. It's real feel heat at 110 130 in my attic and these guys completed repairs Ina timely and efficient manner.
They did it as true representatives of Moon Air.
The price was right
The service was better than right.
And the unit functions better than I anticipated.
Win win for all involved

Jobeth B.Had some AC issues last summer...why wouldn't it be in the middle of the summer, right??
Had moon air come out, explained options of what was wrong, what they could repair vs. replace, and provided numbers for all of our options.
The cool part is that the technician that does the diagnostics to determine what is wrong isn't the sales guy. It's a touch frustrating to want a number from a guy who isn't trying to sell you anything, but they get the sales guy out the same day, and the next day they're installing!
Literally got us back up and running the next day after calling, which is pretty impressive considering we did an entire system replacement.
Also, join their VIP club and it basically pays for itself if you're getting anything major done.
Thomas R.Moon services in my opinion are terrible at servicing their customer.
I had to wait 4 to 5 days for an original appointment. The technician was pleasant and knowledgeable. I was told they would call me that day with a quote. I had to call them three days later to find out the quote. Tammy had to call me back. Called me back and told me that the parts were not under warranty even though they gave me a 10 year parts warranty.
They stated that because I did not pay them each year to have the unit inspected that the unit is no longer under warranty.
Seems like a rip-off to me.
I liked this company and the previous person they sent to conduct requested repairs, so I signed up for a contract, which gave me a discount on parts and services, as well as a yearly service. At the time of my yearly service, Moon Air sent two unfamiliar gentlemen to conduct it. They spent over two hours in my house, attic, and with the unit.
Up to this point, my unit worked properly and I had no issues. However their assessment differed greatly. They adamantly insisted that I need over $400 worth of work and parts replaced on my unit. They were unable to tell me specific parts, other than sensor and control board. When pressed for more information on what was wrong, all they did was provide my unit's model number. It seemed very disingenuous.
I proceeded to call a separate company (the company that installed my unit for the previous owners) to schedule a diagnosis with them for a second opinion. They found absolutely nothing wrong with my unit and saved me the trouble of unnecessary ""repairs.""
I would not recommend this company unless you want to spend money on unnecessary work.
If you are looking for an overpriced company, with people who don't know what they are doing, this is the company for you!!!!! Better to go with a small company or individual who will respect your needs (and wallet).
This service had been recommended to me by a friend, so when I received a message from Amazon Local with a coupon offer for inspection and tune up of Air Conditioning and heating units I went for it. Both my furnace and AC are less than five years old and never had a problem, but they hadn't been checked out in a long time and I wanted to be sure they were safe. It cost some money, but I thought it would prevent future problems.
I was really wrong about that, because about two weeks after their ""tune-up"" it got hot enough to need AC. My air conditioner quit working for the first time ever. I called the Moon Air people back thinking if they had done something wrong they would fix it without charge. They discovered that the compressor had burned itself up along with the jacket around the compressor, a capacitor some wires and a contactor. The return visit was only $29, but the estimate to repair it was over $2000. I was in shock. They said they had ""never seen anything like it"". The AC (Trane) has a 10 year parts warranty.
To make a long story short I got another estimate from a Trane repair service for about half the price Moon estimated. Naturally I went with the much lower estimate, and they fixed it yesterday and so far it seems back to normal. I guess that AC tune -up was a big waste of time and money. I also had to go without AC for most of June. Nobody can explain to me why the AC self-destructed, but apparently there are several possible causes.
The young men who came to my house seemed earnest and pleasant, and I have heard good things about Moon Air. My experience with them was unfortunately disappointing.
