Laura H.Great service. Nice people! Recommend. Responded right away. Quickly fixed my shower. Very professional
So the final update on a 30 ish day situation with a total of two visits is $800 and sewer in my basement the whole time. The first time the guy came out snaked the mainline charged me a good $400 and either left the cap off or didn't secure it be cause a week later my tenant called and said sewage was coming out the access port cause the cap was off. I was pulling out of town and called the plumber (less then thrilled) to come put the cap back on. While they were out they decided the drain needed to be snaked again, charged me another $400ish ...ugh...Fine ... situation closed... right? NOPE ... two weeks later I have a flooded basement ... same drain, same issue. sewage is the worst. I decided maybe moody got enough of my money and called an actual plumber (economy plumbing) who charged me half of the first visit, came in and instantly told me there were three stacks (places to clear the line ) on my 4 plex not one and they very well could have destroyed the back flow system in the other corner snaking the way they did. What a concept to come in and assess the whole situation. I got an eduction on the system at no extra charge and ended up with a plumber good for more then just collecting dollars. Yay.
I was so mad, I couldn't help but call and get a little moody with moody. I basically just let her take my whole complaint... needless to say I wasn't happy, there may have been a few choice words, she said she would let the owner know.
I half expected another call, what I didn't expect was the owner to pull up to the property (I just happen to be at) less then an hour later. I don't remember exactly how the conversation started but the first impression is that I was being scolded for my angry phone call... um ... did you just pull up to be intimidating mr moody? Sure enough he came to educate me in terminology and maybe school the plumber in the basement, letting me know he'd ""been in business 30 years"" . I ended up throwing him off the property, I don't take well to bullies.
Economy pluming was here just over an hour, and did a great job ACTUALLY clearing the line, explained everything he did and the working of the plumbing on a building we just bought for $250 flat ... Aaron was so nice, professional, it was definitely a better experience, and I feel endlessly confident that the situation has been finally resolved . And now I have an amazing plumber in Niles, OH
ECONOMY PLUMBING
Yay!
As for mr moody... it was so unprofessional to pull up unannounced after ripping me off to try to bully me and the plumber in the basement. Bad business, I don't care how long you've been doing it.
I've used Jeff for quite awhile now. They have always been thorough and straightforward with me. They will always get my business . Jeff is as knowledgeable as they come. Worth every penny.
I had a new kitchen faucet(which I had already purchased) installed . They showed up on time and were very friendly. It took them less than 1/2 hour to complete the job. My issue with MPI is the service charge($59.00) they included on their bill in ADDITION to their labor charge of $109.00! The total bill, including parts was $175.00! I called MPI and questioned the S.C. I was told the S.C. was for coming to my place which is 12.4 miles round trip. I also called two other plumbers in my area and they both said they do NOT charge a S.C. and their total charge would have been approximately $105.00. Needless to say I will not be using MPI again!
Erica J.I find having to blindly call a contractor one of the most stressful parts of adulting. After a glowing recommendation of Dave's work, I called Moody.
Steve and Larry from Moody Plumbing fixed multiple (!) gas leaks in our home. They came out same day and did an excellent job. They certainly saved the day; their diligent and professional service made an otherwise terrible day manageable. I undoubtedly wouldn't hesitate to hire this company in the future. Your service was greatly appreciated.
Edit: Dave and Larry installed a hot water tank in our basement, after above reviewed gas leak. I still feel moody plumbing is amazing. I'm so grateful.
I feel more confident in future plumbing fails knowing that moody is wonderful, both in service and price.
We have had Moody plumbing out before but we did get another estimate before proceeding with work on 2/18/19. Moody Plumbing came in at half the price with solutions to problems the other company merely wanted to replace with new products.
With all the rain, we developed a full septic tank because the sump pump was emptying into it. Moody figured out how to re-route the drain of the sump pump into another drain avoiding the septic tank. Previous to this, they had figured out how to get the back-up battery for the sump pump into a very shallow space. They then fixed the toilet, replaced the kitchen and basement faucets, and fixed a leak in the pipe in the wall behind the bathroom sink. We were very pleased at the price and plan to hire them again next month to put in a new sump pump.
David S.I was out of town but asked Moody Plumbing come out to repair a leaky 2"" PVC union on my pool pump recirculation system. They could not figure out how to replace it. So they cut the union out and temporarily installed a rubber sleeve secured by band clamps as a ""patch"". They then proceeded to charge us $595.00 on the spot! My wife was home and knows nothing about plumbing so she paid them. When I got home and saw what they did and what they charged I was furious. After leaving a message about wanting to discuss they quality of the work and the charges, they called me back on a Monday. The office person said Mr. Moody authorized only invoicing me $150.00. I was ok with that and told her to tell Moody I appreciated it. Then Moody simply refunded $150. Not what I was told and there was NO misinterpretation on my part. When we followed up, they denied saying the total invoice would be $150, but instead said they would refund $150. So, now I have paid $450 for a botched plumbing job that still needs properly repaired and when they said they would make it right they reneged. Folks, I am not a stranger to plumbing and frankly I could have done what they did for $20 and 30-45 mins of my time.
Yep that pic I posted originally cost me $595 and was reduced to $450. Shameful. Buyer Beware with this outfit! You now know the facts of my experience. If you need a plumber... look elsewhere.. you will be glad you did.
