Had a leak on our kitchen faucet. Surveyed the repair, and decided I didn't have the tools to do it. Bought a faucet from Home Depot, and had one of their contractors call us. They wanted $90 bucks just to walk in the door. After checking with a couple of local handymen that didn't call me back for a while, I decided to check yelp, and Moody plumbing came up high rated. Could not have been anymore pleased. Joe was quick to respond to the problem, and Tom who came out was early, and just great. Smart. ethical, he charged us a more than fair price, and took care in what he did. Overall a great experience with the guys, and I would highly recommend them.

Alas, I will never get to experience the five star service of Moody Plumbing. They called me back today to tell me that they don't come this far to work. I live in Hyde Park and they are located on the Northside of the city. Meanwhile, I have plumbers coming from Schaumburg and Northbrook just to give me an estimate! I suppose it's their prerogative to decide how far they will travel for a $10,000 job. At least they called me back after two days.

Moody Plumbing fixed my non-draining shower drain. Excellent work at a fair price. After calling I emailed Tom pics; he took a look, quoted a price, scheduled an appointment within less than a week, came out on the scheduled day and fixed everything cleanly and neatly, within the quoted price. These guys were pleasant, efficient, worked cleanly and answered all my questions. I couldn't ask for more.

Joe did a great job with a recent repair job, starting with an email asking for a photo of the broken pipe so he could better understand the job. I sent the photo and he responded promptly with a quote and some suggestions on when he could do the job. He came by and took care of the job as expected, and he even fixed a little issue in our kitchen sink for no additional charge! We'll definitely be calling Moody again with any future plumbing needs.

I had these guys fix a clogged shower for a house I have in Chicago we are waiting to sell and renting out right now. I called them based on the good reviews and they did the repair at a reasonable price and fixed a couple of other things. All was good with that repair about six months ago. Fast forward to today when my tenant sends me pics of a very leaky water heater. It looked bad from the pictures, and I was on a business trip so given my previous experience I had her call Moody again. I thought it might be a leak in the union but figured they would come and look and tell me that I needed a new water heater as well as the unit is quite old and was willing to play the game for expiediency and convienience. I did think they would give a semi reasonable price on a new one given my previous experience but fully expected them to try to up sell a new water heater to maximize their profits.

Well they came on site and my tenet relayed that they told her it was a leaky union but the heater was okay and it would be not to expensive and they would be back to replace the unions.

It is very hard to find a honest reaputable home repair company in the city. So hard that I learned to do a lot myself. I can't do it my self at this property any more as I no longer live there but given two great experiences with this contractor I have finally found something that eluded me the whole time I lived in the city; a reliable, honest, reasonable, and capable contractor.

If you want quality service at fair prices call them.

Joe and his crew just completed a fairly complex job in my building - replaced hot water riser and return in 3 levels, which included drilling through 8 inches of concrete to route the new pipes.

They did a fantastic job - broke minimum plaster to access piping, rerouted the pipes very neatly, tested their work, didn't cause any damage and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The cost was very reasonable, communication (sending insurance, license info, scheduling an appointment, and showing up on time) was very prompt and professional.

I'll definitely use their services in the future. It's so hard to find ethical and reasonable plumbers these days - Moody Plumbing definitely stands out as a reasonable, professional and reputable plumbing company.

Remodeling my kitchen and found a mess behind the walls. Joe came in and replaced all the rotting pipes and inappropriate supply lines. He completed everything in one day and at a reasonable price. Both Joe and Brandon, who was assisting him, were very polite. Their workmanship looks impeccable. I have definitely found my local plumber for any future projects or issues.

Joe is still batting 1000 with my 60+ year old plumbing - and my bank account. This time the kitchen line was horrendously clogged - so bad that the 1st round of rodding didn't do the job. The next day more 50+ year old sludge came loose and re-clogged the line. Joe came right back out once I let him know the problem was lingering and went to work without hassle. They had to make a mess of a small area of (unfinished) basement to get the line fully cleared from top to bottom, but they cleaned up as well as they could have and the kitchen line is now draining like a champ. Bonus: I didn't have to resort to eating ramen noodles for the rest of the month in order to afford the work.
