I first met KC of Monty's Plumbing back in January 2008. I was having a birthday dinner party and my kitchen sink was clogged so I called a plumber to clear the line that evening. No luck, the plumber was unable to clear the line and I was charged anyway for the site visit! A friend that had come over that evening recommended KC of Monty's plumbing so I called. The next day KC came over and cleared the line out in 5 minutes. I was so happy with KC's work, pricing and business etiquette I had him come over the following week to perform some upgrade work in my kitchen.

To this day I still use and recommend KC of Monty's Plumbing.

Also, I recommend KC to anyone in San Diego searching for ""Sustainable Solutions"", see Monty's website. I have practiced Landscape Architecture in San Diego for about 12 years and KC has been installing rain water harvesting systems and grey water reuse systems years before most Designers and Architects were even thinking about these concepts here in San Diego!

You just can't get any better service than Monty's Plumbing. Honest, fast, reliable service is what you get along with a smile. I recently had a gas line rerouted in the rental house we have and it was done quickly and expertly. We will next be having them add a new heater to the house. They have a lot of skills between them. You can't go wrong with this company.

It's times like these when I love Yelp. We woke up one morning to cold-water showers. After a little investigating, found that our ancient tankless water-heater was no longer working. A quick yelp scan found Monty's, and I gave them a ring. KC called me back quickly, and was on-sight to check the problem out the very next day.

Now, let me be clear, KC had just returned from vacation and was hammered with calls and requests from existing customers, and I was some 'new guy' he had never done business with. Yet, he prioritized my call because ""No one likes cold showers"". He came up with a solution that was quick, efficient, and well priced.

Talk about full service; KC, even helped me deal with my 'Home Warranty' insurance company, by calling them and explaining the problem, and his rec commendation.

I should also note, that initially the same insurance company sent me some other bozo plumber, that wanted to charge a thousand dollars more than KC.

The install is clean, efficient, and well done. This is a guy that likes it 'done right', and wants his customers to be completely satisfied, and makes the effort to do just that.
In fact, a week later I received an email from KC, following up to make sure everything is working well (it is!)

I just found my new 'go-to' plumber.

I found Monty's on Yelp (thank you Yelpers for honest reviews). KC Montgomery (aka Monty) provided exceptional service. I had a clog somewhere in the system and needed help asap. I called KC who scheduled me that same day, arrived 5 minutes early and went right to work. He accessed various entry points to get to the clog. He charged me what he told me he would charge (no extras for having to go into multiple access points). He knows what he is doing and was very thorough even staying after the clog was cleared to ensure the water was flowing through the system as it should. Never had a plumber do that. Monty's Plumbing is a ""keeper"" for my plumbing needs.

Wow! A small owner run business that puts the big ones to shame. I had some gas line issues. KC the owner came, fixed it, then the old gas line that they didn't mess with started leaking (due to other forces) . AND it was hard to get to. I saw big dollar signs. KC came and fixed it using a creative, less expensive method. Best of all he closed the loop on the gas problem making sure that the system was good to go so no future problems. I've used many plumbers in the past but this is the first guy I felt really just wanted to do quality work at reasonable costs. I will definately use this guy again - he cares about the quality and his reputation, and not just making a buck.

KC Montgomery runs a great business...he persevered at my house until the problem was solved. He is quick to return phone calls, shows up on-time, and even checks-in after the work is completed to make sure everything is A-OK. They did a great job cleaning up after they were done and are extremely thorough. And, to top it all off, his rates are quite reasonable. We will definitely use Monty's Plumbing for our plumbing needs in the future.

KC was great! He came to our house in the morning before normal hours because he was busy the rest of the day. Not only that but he got back with me right away and I knew that I was going to be in good hands. I highly recommend Monty's plumbing they are fast, reliable, and have great customer service! KC was quick to respond to the message that I left on his machine and even quicker to get here to fix our problem. We had sewage coming out of our bath tub when we would flush our toilet. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within the hour. He even honored a coupon for OB locals that I didn't know existed. All in all he runs a great business and if we ever need another plumber he will be the first we call. I couldn't give him a higher recommendation.

If you're looking for an honest person, KC is the must go to plumber. He was out of town but identified a couple of causes for my garbage disposal not working and walked me through a couple of possible solutions over the phone. I don't anyone who would forgo making money. He also helped me with a clogged shower. No more searching for a reliable and trust-worthy plumber....I have him saved in my phone and so should you!!!
