Several years ago, I called to schedule the annual maintenance. I received a call back 7 months later. Brittany repeatedly will tell you that 'she'll call you later today'. Became quite laughable when she would say that.

This year, during the annual maintenance on April 26, the peat moss needed to be replaced. I had to call several times to receive an estimate for the service. Once received, I called to schedule the service and was informed that once they receive the deposit ($1560) they would be able to schedule the work. I never heard back from them. The deposit check was cleared on 5/12. So, I called again to schedule the work. I was asked to order the peat moss myself and was given an 800-number to call. The peat moss was going to be charged directly to us, and I asked for my deposit back. I was told that it would have to be approved by someone. I called the number I was given; the phone tree was in French and I was connected with someone that didn't have a clue and would have to 'send me a packet' -- which I never received. I contacted Mont Sanitation multiple times, each time being assured that other customers had no problem. We had sold our house in the meantime, with the closing date of 6/18. I had informed them that the house was sold and of the closing date. Finally, at this point, Mont Sanitation had a person in VA contact me. We closed on our new home and moved 6/25. At this point, I asked them to order the peat moss. They would order it once they received the refund check back. I hand delivered it on 6/29. The work was FINALLY completed the week of 8/17. The new owner informed me of this, and I received an invoice for the remaining balance. On 8/19, Brittany called to ask me when / how they could expect payment. I told her that I knew the work had been completed and I had received the invoice, I was out of the state, my father was sent home to die (he died on 8/20), and I wasn't sure how long I would need to be with family. She callously said that payment is expected upon completion of the work. I said likely next week. She was completely insensitive and it was outright ridiculous after all this to be demanding given that they had sat on my $1560 for 3 months. After my dad died and I returned to VA, I wrote a check and put it in the USPS and emailed Mont Sanit. On Tues, 8/25, Sandra (who was very kind) called at Brittany's request to ask when I would be able to pay. However, her first words were how was my father, and her response was really kind. I informed her that I put the check in the mail. She thanked me.

I am so glad I never have to deal with this company again, especially Brittany.

They've been our sole source of onsite wastewater treatment since we moved here and have done everything from pumping to lift pump replacement to brand new advanced tech aeration system. These people are the real deal! Trustworthy, kind and really care about the work they do. They just replaced a septic tank on my property that was very difficult to get to on steep terrain. Everyone on the crew was jovial and extremely polite. They went way and above my expectations. Thanks once again to a very top notch company!!!

I called Tuesday evening and spoke with Sandra, who graciously answered all my questions and broke down the cost of everything for me. Today is Thursday the day we arranged for the appointment, Sandra called to give me a heads up the guys were loading up and would be enroute shortly. They arrived approximately 15 minutes after she called. Jonathan arrived first with the truck, he was excellent literally walked me through everything. Two more guys arrived with the backhoe, Tyler and Joe, they worked for about two hours straight before having me check to make sure everything was working properly before they left. I definitely recommend Montgomery Sanitation- they will be our go to in the future!
