Can I give him a 0?

After I asked for a recommendation on Facebook for someone to look at my boiler he contacted me and said he'd be over the next day. My husband took off work to meet him. The man was insulting (called my basement a mess), a misogynist (asked my husband why he was dealing with me), and downright chauvinistic (told my husband he should be handling the furnace because he's the man of the house). He drained the boiler and left. When I texted him about what was wrong with the boiler he said he ""didn't know"" and ""didn't have time"" to figure it out....my husband was furious, I was insulted, and my boiler was never fixed. I highly recommend you don't let him near your home.

Hired for a simple job to replace a sink. He started by accidentally breaking the drain pipe at the wall, requiring that he cut the wall to get access. Without checking what might be behind the wall, he started cutting with a power saw with a long blade. We asked if we should shut off the water and power but he said no. He cut into a pipe to the upstairs apartment, water started spraying everywhere. We are lucky it was only a few hundred dollars of damage. The plumber who came to fix it all couldn't believe he cut into the wall with a saw like that. If he had hit an electric wire it could have been deadly.

Had the same experience as Katie C. Connected via home advisor (Home Advisor provided him my contact info); he called me twice and after saying on the phone i was not interested and to stop calling me he started texting me multiple times. Not sure if the text would have stopped if i didn't block the number.
Last text I received (mind you I told them to stop calling) : ""WTF don't u answer we're gonna keep calling.""

Check out my email to homeadvisor lol
Hi,
This afternoon, my plumber helped me out and asked me to post a review for him on homeadvisor. I tried to find him by typing in plumber in the searchbar of your website. Somehow, a project was created, which I was not aware of. I couldnt find my plumber and googled his company name+homeadvisor and finally successfully gave him a review.
About one hour later, Monteiro Plumbing and Heating Company, which is one of the search result, called and asked me when should he come. I told him I requested no service of him. I couldn't hear him clearly so I put him on speaker phone. And he said the following exact words to me while my daughter was sitting right next to me:""DO YOU FUCKING KNOW WHAT YOU WERE DOING?""
I tried everything I could to keep my daughter away from language like this. I believe you can imagine how language can impact the child early development. After that he told me that he has my credit card number and he will charge 100 dollar, and hung up.
I looked up the company, Monteiro Plumbing and Heating Company. And just with 3 minutes of research I found that this is a horrible company, where your website rated 4.2(which is really a joke). It has all 1 star review on both google and yelp.
My questions are:
1. How did you have my credit card information without me even logged in. The only info I filled in is an email adrress and my home address. I was trying to find a certain provider, and you gave my credit card number to your providers?
2. For the 100 dollar that incurred, what service did I get?
3. How do you protect your users' right? Or do your company intended to run business like this?
4. Are providers like Monteiro Plumbing and Heating Company your worthy partner? What are your criterias and rules for your providers.
5. Why hasn't my review of Monteiro Plumbing and Heating Company gone through still? While other website filters no comment, is this how they got a score of 4.2 out of 5? Did the 0.5 stars get filtered?
6. Last but DEFINITELY not the least,
Is the brain damage done to my daughter going to get addressed properly?

I want you to know that I am furious, with your website and the provider, but not you, the employee who's reading this. If you think you cannot help me or answer ALL of my questions, please direct this email to your manager.
Thank you.
I wish you have a good weekend.

I did a search on Angie's List looking for plumbers; within 5 minutes I received a call and voice mail for this company. I received another call within minutes after that. I answered the phone and the individual began asking me about the issue and when I would want to schedule. I told him that I was only in the research phase of the project, but he kept pushing for me to schedule. I repeated myself, and he said that I had already cleared him for the work via Home Advisor (I hadn't heard of this site/service before) and he had my billing information. I reiterated that I would not be hiring anyone at this point, but he continued to ask for information about the needed repair. He was overly aggressive and dismissive.

Laziest plumber I ever met. He refused to put in a tub shower enclosure brand new that I bought on line at his suggestion. This is after he refused to fix a leaky faucet on the one I own.

He did the same thing with my toilet he wanted me to buy a new one would t fix the leaking old one then way over charged to install it.

Don't waste your money on this lazy over priced plumber

We were connected via home advisor (I submitted that I needed a plumber, the website gave him my contact info); he called me twice within 5 minutes of receiving my info and left a voicemail saying he'd come tomorrow. I wasn't ready to start the project yet and didn't call him back. This was Wednesday. Friday night at 9pm he calls. I believe he was drunk (slurring his words). Calls me ""sweetie"" and demands to know why I haven't hired him yet. Caught off guard, I explain that I'm still in the planning stages. He then tells me that I've cost him money (he pays home advisor to be put in contact with clients) and that I need to hire him. Slurs out a quote that I ask him to repeat cause I can't understand him which just angers him more. I foolishly keep talking with him as he gets more and more irate that I'm not willing to hire him. What causes me to finally hang up is where he tells me he knows where I live (luckily just the street and not the actual house). This has been an excellent incentive to learn how to fix my own small plumbing issues.

I made an appointment with Chris Monteiro to repair my toilet that had come loose from the floor. He came the following day as scheduled and in 45 minutes removed the toilet, put the toilet back, fastened it with one screw, not the two it's supposed to be fastened with, and said the flange needs to be replaced but I don't have the parts and that'll be $165 for today and I can come back to fix it if you want. He didn't repair anything, charged $165, left no receipt and has a PO Box for a business address so the guy is quite shady. Have another plumber coming this week to fix it and I wouldn't hire this guy to fix a leaky faucet.
