We contacted Montclair Handyman to help us install an IKEA pantry. My husband could not do the install because he is still recovering from his 3rd back surgery. They said they would be here at 8:30 and they never showed up. No phone call, text, or anything. Now we are left with a mess and no one to help. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Extremely disorderly with poor business practice. Please note, this review is based on the 'service' or lack thereof. An employee came to my home taking pictures of the various 'projects' telling me he would provide a quote the following day. Three weeks later, after various messages and e-mails I have received NO word. This company needs to get it together.

Unresponsive - The owner (Leo) came to evaluate the jobs (painting & plumbing) on a Friday. He took photos of the work needed and said he would have a quote to me by the following Monday. I followed up on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday of the following week and was told each time that he was on the phone or in a meeting but would call me back. He never returned my calls.

Hire these guys!! Strong recommendation for them.
Last Thursday eve, I googled handymen near me, and found their website. Got an appt for the very next morning. Their task was to replace light bulbs on various floors of the house. Leo quoted reasonable rates, even for the bulbs on the higher ceilings. They arrived promptly, were polite, skillful and professional. Harold used tarps under the ladders and left the rooms immaculate upon completion. Due to time constraints, I had to get the task done on two separate days (Friday and Tuesday), they were accommodating GPA small request in the time change and their service was outstanding both times. We have light again and will definitely use this company in the future.

What a professional team--all communications, appointments and in-home services were exactly as promised. The workers were polite, cleaned up every day after working and made sure to ask questions along the way if they were not sure of anything.

These jobs included putting up shelves, replacing a portion of the sill plate of my house, renovating a sunroom, leveling pavers on my deck, replacing windows in the basement, and assembling furniture. I have found them to be courteous, trustworthy, and conscientious in their work. Their estimates clearly state the scope and cost of the work. I was particularly pleased with the renovation of my sunroom. They diligently listened to what I had envisioned for this room, provided me with viable options and then executed the plan. The room seamlessly flows with the rest of my house from both an aesthetic and functional standpoint.
