I've used Monkey Wrench twice now in the last year. We have an Airbnb and usually are calling for help in emergencies when something needs to get fixed fast so they enjoy their stays. The first time was to fix a small leak under the main line in our back yard and the 2nd time to fix our heater that went out this last week. They are super friendly and responsive and get you in faster than everyone else. However both times their quotes are 5 times higher than everyone else and they refuse to break out parts and labor separate. This most recent time they quoted a bunch of parts on my furnace to be replaced that didn't need to be. Another company came in and said it was just a furnace fuse needed to be replaced to get up and running so they fixed my heat for $500 in a day vs $5000 that Monkey Wrench quoted. I don't trust these guys so be aware. Won't call them again.

They gave us an estimate of $923 to repair a supposed leak after we called them for routine maintenance on our tankless water heater. We called another company who informed us that our unit was not leaking. This other company charged us $150 for the visit and performed the maintenance on our water heater.

CROOKS!! Trust the bad reviews on here. These people are crooks! Noritz tankless water heater system had an error code after being installed for less than 2 years. Rick said we had to replace the heat exchanger and pay 3k for something that was still under warranty! The minute he left the house we didn't have any more hot water. Never came back to fix anything. We called them at least five times to come back and get us hot water while waiting for the part they told us was broken. Thank God they did not come back otherwise we would not have found a great person who is honest and cares about their customer. Another plumber came a week later, didn't have to replace anything but said someone ""messed"" with our water heater and lo and behold we have hot water again. Without replacing or fixing anything Monkeywrench said we needed to fix! Did you think you could pressure us into paying you because we didn't have hot water? Your practices are not only unethical but illegal. We have an elderly grandma and handicapped child you sick people! We will report you to the BBB and state license board. And don't bother putting ""pending resolution"" in the comments.

Eli and Bradly were outstanding! Eli's installation of our water softener was smooth and efficient. He kept the work area clean. For all the hard and exhausting work, he maintained a very professional appearance. Bradly assisted and noticed some non-realted potential issues elsewhere in our yard and offered easy fixes. They both explained clearly how and what to expect from our new system. Thanks guys!

Had posted a negative review earlier, but alas, the owner of the property wanted to give them another chance?? So against the renters better judgment once again monkey wrench was cold. Showed up to replace or install garbage disposal. Do you know what we were told???? of course you don't because any same person would never in 1 million years guess ... we were told they needed to get a camera and scope the line?? I text six hours later reads, we have one camera which is currently being used and we needed to wait another week before they could scope Talk about trying to hustle somebody to spend way more money that was necessary. Seriously it was just putting in a garbage disposal. Hey if you got the time and the money, totally recommend monkey wrench for ripping you off and creating as much inconvenience as possible.

These clowns came out to give estimate on a tankless water heater. They said motherboard was toasted and couldn't be repaired. I had my trusted handyman come out he reset the breaker and that waterheater is working great.

I'm really tempted to call the BBB on these clowns. These guys are shadey.

I signed up for their home maintenance plan. They had come out to do a service for our tankless water heater and hvac. For each of the three visits, it seems like their motivation is to sell you something new each time. For the tankless water heater they had quoted over 10k for a full replacement for a unit that was 2 years old at the time. For the HVAC, they recommended charging the system and wanted to charge $1500 to charge and locate a leak. Who knows how much they're going to charge to remedy any leak that the year find. Monkey Wrench is just there to monkey around. I wouldn't recommend.

I chuckled as I read the comments. I wonder how many people were asked to leave a 5-star review due to the ""prizes"" they are awarded for good reviews. After dealing with a company that did that in the past, I've always decided to wait before giving a review. I wouldn't refer Monkey Wrench to my worst enemy! Of course they send someone out that seems very knowledgeable, but then they slip ""newbies"" in for the repair. All I can say is that they are overpriced and their ""workers"" Do sloppy work. They had to come back to our home numerous times to correct their own issues. It's so interesting that they also let me know that there was an issue with the vertical stack and quoted me 12k! It was needed, but I just had it completed for 1/3 of the price, and it is quality work! They also told me I needed to add a new cleanout due to the distance. Guess they can't measure either because an additional cleanout was not required. What I find the most interesting is that the plumber that came out said he doesn't even use the company he works for!
