I cannot say enough about how honest this guy is. Jason arranged to take care of a problem. He told me some things to do to prepare for the appointment that actually took care of the situation by the time he showed up. There was nothing left to be fixed and he confirmed the issue was resolved. He charged me nothing for his time and effort. I will call him first in the future. He would not even take a tip for his time. This is the kind of work ethic you don't realize still exists. Call Jason. Really.

I had a pretty annoying issue with a broken fitting on a leaking bathtub drain that I discovered one week after moving into my new house. Jason came out promptly and was able to fix it pretty quickly. Afterwards he wrote up a nicely detailed invoice which clearly identified his costs, and wow! Very reasonable!

I would say that yes, I would ""definitely call him again"" with any future plumbing needs, but actually now I've got a problem in another part of my house and I did just call him again, which reminded me to leave this positive review.

Monkey Wrench Plumbing really saved the day! They came out to my residential location about 6:30pm tonight and get this, no expensive after hours rates. He billed me normal day rates. I guess that is something they always do for homeowners. I was grateful. He replaced my water heater and now my family has hot water for the morning. Thanks for the great sevice. Fantastic family run business. From the initial call, to the quote, to the final product they were courteous and professional from start to finish. It is also great to still be able to work directly with a family run business with high standards of service. You might be able to find a cheaper alternative but you wont get the same service or quality product that is provided by a company like Monkey Wrench. They take pride in their work while offering the right level of professionalism and friendliness.

First impressions were great, but in the end the I and paid MW over $200 and the job was not done. I had to hire another plumber to do the work.

I also found the prices MW quoted to be high and not competitive. ""$1250 for a new water heater is a very competitive price,"" I was told.

That was a red flag. I called around and got quotes starting in the $850 range.
