Monkey wrench is not monkeying around These guys get it done! I had a DIY project go south which resulted in no running water, a frustrated wife and a bruised ego. I gave Monkey Wrench a call and was greeted by business owner Monte. Besides being SUPER friendly he went above and beyond to get our water running again and did it at a very reasonable price. Tonight's shower is dedicated to you buddy. Thanks Monkey Wrench, businesses like these are few and far between. I couldn't have asked for more.

Awesome experience working with these guys. They gave an accurate estimation of the work involved by just looking at pictures of the project. They came in and knocked the whole thing out same day and even found some other issues without trying to upsell me on more costly repairs. Fantastic customer service. Fantastic workmanship. Fantastic response time.
We had new countertops and sinks installed in our kitchen and bathrooms and the contractor suggested we replace the old copper water pipes that had been bent many times over the years. I made a few 'blind' calls because we had never used a plumber before. I knew it was risky to just pick a plumber from a web search, however, I did not have much choice; the water was turned off to our whole house. I made several calls and did get ahold a few plumbers and decided to go with Monte at Monkey Wrench because he explained, over the phone, the prices for each component that needed replacing. He told me not to pay more than the amount he gave me for each sink, if I decided to go with someone else. He offered to call me back while he worked on the afternoon schedule to get one of his plumbers over that day.
He was able to get two of his guys over within a couple of hours and they did a super job. They replaced all the old copper pipes, made sure all the connections were water tight and the water was flowing properly, they cleaned up after they were done, and they were polite, cordial and were both clean and appropriately dressed. We were so pleased with Brad and Matthews' work that we had them redo the ugly hardware to one of our toilets, install a new drinking water purifier and assemble an automatic soap dispenser.
Monkey Wrench Plumbing is a family company, and Kimmie was just as delightful to work with as her husband Monte. Kimmie does the scheduling and billing, and with all the work we decided to have Monkey Wrench do for us, we needed to schedule a few visits.

The customer service was amazing- Monte is kind, thoughtful and is willing to support your needs to make sure that you are getting the best for your situation. Having a cracked water main was not a fun thing to endure... Monte was quick and professional, he was easy to reach even on the weekend. Overall Monkey Wrench Plumbing seemed to install our soft water system properly but there were several issues with communication and scheduling (late and missed appointments). Also there is a slight disagreement on whether or not a small fee was discussed prior to work completion. We might use Monkey Wrench again in the future if they could resolve some of these issues. Read on below for more details.

I first contacted Monte through yelp for a quote for my soft water system. Monte told me he does these systems all the time and that the cost for the softener would be 850 dollars plus tax. I scheduled Monte's team to come out and they gave me a window for service for Wednesday the following week. The night before the soft water install I unfortunately also had a leak from my master bathroom shower through our ceiling. We had to have a company come out and clean up the water and Monte told us they would come by to fix the leak during the soft water appointment.

Wednesday's appointment window came and I heard nothing from Monte or his team so I called and he assured me his team would be by around 5 instead. Monte's team eventually came but immediately realized they were missing required parts for my water connections and would have to come back. The next appointment was set for the following day earlier in the day. After this appointment window came and went, I again called Monte to try to check on status. Monte again said his team was busy (due to the season of the year) and told me his team would be by later that day. His team did come by around 5PM again and installed the system and looked at the leak. They told me for the leak they would need some parts and would need to come back the following day. Based on prior missed appointments I contacted Monte again proactively to get a window for Friday. Monte assured me someone would be by between 12-4 on Friday. Friday's appointment was missed again. I tried to call and text message Monte and did not hear back from him until the following day. Monte told me they were all off on Friday.

At this point I asked for the bill for the soft water system and Monte told me the cost for the system would be 850 + tax + an additional fee for a separate install kit that I believe we were not previously notified about. While this fee was only another 60 dollars I was not happy about not being notified in advance. Monte told me he believes he mentioned this fee to us. At this point I cancelled the work for the ceiling leak and explained my concerns to Monte in depth. Monte's called me back and discussed our concerns and was apologetic. Overall, I think maybe we had a serious of miscommunications during Monte's busy season.

I think Monkey Wrench Plumbing did an OK job on the system that they installed but there were numerous communication and scheduling issues. We might use Monkey Wrench Plumbing again in the future if they can resolve some of the issues I mentioned above.

Had them replace a water heater. Very easy to deal with. Showed up during 2 hour window they gave the next day. Price exactly what was quoted. And owner Monte is a good guy.
