I agree with everyone else who has reviewed Mojica. I used them for a water line relocation, which was expensive but probably not out of line for the work involved. However, I was out of town when my outside faucet broke (probably a gasket) and I knew that it would need to be replaced at some point, so I called Mojica again. The pet sitter was there to let them in, and said it took around 10 min. The handle seems pretty cheesy and the faucet is not working correctly (it sprays up on me, rather than down towards the patio), and while I have no doubt that they will come fix it -- and I appreciate that they were willing to fix the original problem while I was gone -- the charge ($213) is really out of line. I had the same thing done for another outside faucet on the other side of my house by a different plumber who did a great job, put in a faucet with a handle that I'm sure won't break, for less than half of the price. I was also not at the house when that work was done, and paid when he billed me.

If I could give this company less stars I would in an instant. This is my in-laws plumber, a few years ago they came and installed a water heater for them, they charged 1,000 for it. Yes, a grand, for a fucking water heater. This isn't a fancy heater, not a hard job, no magical reason for their obscene prices. Today they had them out again to replace said water heater, apparently there's a week left on the warranty, they're "giving" then a replacement heater, and only charging 800 for the removal of the old one and installation of the "free" one. It generally takes about 45 minutes to change out a water heater, worst part is draining it (why yes the heater has already been drained) so 800 for less than an hour labor. Apparently we're all in the wrong business, kids don't try to be lawyers or doctors, just grow up to be crappy plumbers, you can charge more per hour.
Please please don't waste your money here, the only positive thing I can say at all about them is they were on time. That's pretty good, but honestly I'm not really willing to pay an extra 800 for some asshole to be on time, I'd much rather just do the work myself. Don't make my in-laws mistake, go somewhere else, price shop, hell just shoot yourself in the foot then do it yourself, it would still be more cost effective than being raped by these thieves.

Stay away from this plumbing business. Even though we had spent thousands of dollars last year with them redoing the plumbing at my new business, called them this year to fix a toliet and had a terrible experience. Even though they put in our 'speciality' toliets the previous year, showed up without parts 3 hours late. Said we have special order them ourselves or they could. Shouldn't they have been able to tell me that over the phone before they came since they were their toliets THEY put in. The kicker was, for 5 mins of looking at the toliet and saying they couldn't fix it. Wanted $108 dollars to come out. total ripoff.

THESE PEOPLE RUN THEIR BUSINESS IN A WAY THAT IS SOMETHING LESS THAN HONEST. READ BELOW IF YOU NEED MORE DETAIL. In summary the price they per hour they quoted over the phone was different than the price they charged me when the completed the job. I was told the charge was $108 for the first 1/2 hour and $26/hour for every 15 minutes there after. When they finished the job they added on the hourly wage of a helper at around $xxx per hour. Secondly - the lead tech on the job had to leave for parts at the home depot and it took him an hour. The parts consisted of 4 - 3 inch 45" which he should have had on the truck. When I called to discuss the problem with the office they would not take my call and didn't return my call. In my humble opinion this dishonest business behavior

I'm glad I checked yelp, but wish I had done so before I let Mojica waste my time. Mr. Mojica came out to do the estimate on a Thursday and told me that I would have my estimate by the close of business Friday. That didn't happen. I called another plumber who gave us an estimate and completed the work before I even received my estimate from the Mojicas the following Wednesday. Oh, and their estimate was double what I was charged by the plumber that we'll use when we do our master bathroom next month.

I'm just really grateful that they didn't get back to me or else I probably would have had the same experience as everyone else.

I needed a toilet unplugged in my NW Hills home; they showed up and neglected to tell me the cost until I was presented it at the end which was $354! YIKES. I was pissed and told the receptionist that I wanted Ray to call me to explain why such an exhobitant fee--he never did but apparently he had his receptionist send me "thank you for your business" appreciation cards TWICE--I didn't think it was funny. He had still yet to call me about the high fees he charged to unplug a toilet when most plumbers would charge $175 on the high side! NEVER AGAIN

I too should have looked at Yelp before I called these guys. I had a pretty simple plumbing job that needed to be undertaken (parts for the job cost a total of $4.40) but their hourly rates are really high and they charge you from the time they leave the shop. I had an hour of time on my clock before any repairs were undertaken and I live in central Austin. Next time I will be sure to call someone else. I would never use these guys again. Very disappointing.

Learn from my mistake and GO ELSEWHERE! Ray Mojica touts their service and expertise as the reason for their exorbitant prices, yet provides neither.

I called them to fix my kitchen faucet, which suddenly sprouted a leak at the base whenever it was turned on. While waiting for them to arrive, I called Moen just to see if they had any ideas what the trouble could be. They said it most likely just needed replacement of a $3.00 gasket, which they'd be happy to send me for free, but most plumbers carry with them. The Mojica tech, Jeremy, then arrived. He took the faucet apart, took a look at it, put it back together, and pronouced that the faucet was "leaking from the body" and that I needed a whole new faucet. I told him that Moen thought it was just a gasket, and he stated that a new gasket wouldn't fix it. He suggested I call Moen back and tell them that the body of the faucet was cracked and leaking and ask for a new faucet (Moen has a lifetime guarantee), which he could then install for me for a mere $239.00.

I did call Moen, and they chuckled and told me it was highly unlikely that the faucet needed to be replaced, as the "body" of the faucet is solid brass and not prone to cracking or leaking. They suggested I wait for the gasket and they'd walk me thru the repair over the phone. I couldn't go a whole week without a kitchen faucet, so I bought the $3.00 gasket kit from Home Depot. My husband took the faucet apart (he has no plumbing experience) and just by looking at it carefully was able to install the gaskets correctly, fixing the leak. Took him about an hour.

I'd have no problem paying the $59 Mojica service fee, if I had received "service" or expertise. At best, I got a tech that had no idea what he was doing. At worst, he knew exactly what he was doing and tried to gouge me for a more expensive repair than was needed.

I have tried to get Mojica to refund my $59.00 service fee and they will not even return my (three) calls. I got a lovely postcard in the mail a couple of days after the "service" call inviting me to call Rosemary Mojica if they could be of any further assistance. Good luck getting Ms. Mojica to call you back, and she's reportedly the only person who handles complaints. I currently have the charge under dispute with my credit card company. I just cannot believe a company can stay in business with service as awful as this. They must rely on their slick advertising and the ignorance of the general populace regarding plumbing for thier livelihood.

Hopefully I and other Yelpers will force them to clean up their act!

You have to sign off of the $59 "travel" fee before they give you their outrageous quote. If I wasn't getting ready for company I'd have shopped this around anyway.

Get this - $239 to replace the fill valve and flapper on the toilet. 30 minutes and a $15 part. About $400/hr. Plus the travel fee.

Call anybody else.

I should have looked into Yelp before I called these guys... We found leaks from the water heater in the garage. In a panic I called the first one came up on the search. They came out to look at it and determined that it would be $1,200 for us to replace the water heater just like the old one. That diagnosis took him 3 minutes and cost us $59. I looked up on line and found gas water heaters of the same capacity ranging from $250 to $800. why $1,200?? we paid the $59 and show him the way out.
