Woke up to an inch of water in the kitchen and called Jimmy. He quickly responded and identified a mouse had chewed through the dishwasher line. He showed us the issue and gave us several options. Had a fairly good leak in the attic, turns out to be a flaw in other homes in the neighborhood. Jimmy came over same day and found the problem quickly. No pressure or sales pitches. He was able to do it within 2 days and even showed me how to turn off the hot water to temporarily stop the leak although the bad part was taking COLD showers:)
All in all, price was fair and job was done right. No problems so far and everything looks good. Would definitely recommend Jimmy and use him for future jobs.....thank you!!!!

The owner is awesome and so helpful. We didn't end up needing him to come out and were able to troubleshoot our water heater after speaking with him, but so appreciate his time and willingness to talk through it. Anyone else would have charged us to come out and see it without giving advice and would have tried to sell us a new water heater. When we get a new one--or have any other issues, Modern Plumbing will be my only call to do the work.

Jimmy Nore was friendly, knew what he was doing and found our problem quickly and resolved it. They don't charge for a quote! We didn't want to pay someone to tell us we had a problem! Our water heater quit overnight, so it was a cold morning shower. Called Modern Plumbing, and he returned the call within a couple of minutes. Jimmy came by at 9:00 AM to see what was up. He couldn't get the pilot light to stay lit, so it was time to replace the water heater. He gave me an estimate to complete the job, and I accepted it. He left to get a new one, came back about 10:00, and had the new water heater installed and working by 2:00. Yay! He hauled off the old one, too.

Jimmy was great to work with, we chatted a bit about water heaters and other things off and on while he worked, and he was very knowledgeable about many things, as well as being a really nice guy. The price was right, and the work was done right. I'm really glad I called him to do the work, and can give him a solid recommendation. He will get the first call from me on any future plumbing needs.

I cannot say enough good things about Jimmy Nore and Modern Plumbing!! I see that he had three previous 5 star ratings and it is my privilege to add number four. I have an old house in Yuba City (built in 1951) so I have some of the ""gremlins"" you get with an old house. I had a leak in the garage that was hard to find because it was associated with connections installed when the house moved from a well on to the city water system and behind the water softener so it was hard to determine where the leak was coming from. I emailed Jimmy through Yelp and less than 30 mins later he got back to me and was able to come over within an hour. He quickly figured out what the problem was and was off to get the parts to make the repair. Jimmy quickly replaced the old stuff and cleaned up what was a hodge podge of connections. The result was a far cleaner installation than what I had and the total price was HALF of what I was expecting. He clearly explained what he was doing and the preferred solution. He will be my first call if I have any future plumbing issues and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Jimmy is also a genuinely nice person and it is obvious he enjoys what he does and is good at it.
