Great experience with M&M Mechanical. I'm a licensed contractor and manage school construction projects down the mountain... this is our vacation home we recently purchased and needed some work on our forced air unit (heater) along with saving our home from a fire hazard from a poorly installed dryer duct installation.
The guys were professional, courteous and on time. We are so thankful for M&M Mechanical!

Had this company install a common wire in order to use nests thermostats on wall heaters several months ago for my cabin in big bear city. They did an amazing job. They were efficient, informative and great to work with. Today I had extended family visiting my cabin and the nest thermostat showed no power. I called the owner and he sent out Tim and within 10 min he arrived at my cabin to trouble shoot and fix the problem. I am truly grateful as we had elderly family at the cabin and needed the thermostats to work. Thanks M and M mechanical for your swift and awesome work.

This is a great, reliable company in The small town of Big Bear. I've used their services twice and each time they've shown up quickly, fixed the issue and been honest about what was wrong.
My mil lives in BB and the first time we used them her heated was just not working, it was snowing and her house was freezing!! I looked on Yelp going this company called and within 30 min they were at the door. They cleaned out her filters, and fixed her very confusing thermostat and within an hr it was so warm in the house we were able to take off our coats.
The 2nd time I called them was because her heater just stopped working. She called the gas company who recommended someone else who came out and told her she needed a whole new heat system a it quoted her over $4k. I caught wind of this and called M&M and they quickly went out assessed the heater and was honest about what was wrong...the motor went out. Within an he or so they fixed it and charged her sooooo much less than $4k. She's got her home all warm and cozy again.
Needless to say we will NEVER go anywhere else. She was so happy with the way they helped her and explained to her what was going and didn't try to rip her off like the other company did.

My guests checked into our cabin for a weekend getaway and the thermostat wouldn't go beyond 65 degrees when they arrived. Then, the temperature started going down! Tried to troubleshoot it myself by changing the filter at the register, but it still didn't work (but I was on the right track if you keep reading). They were booked over the weekend and my guests were fine with using a space heater. Mike (the owner) asked me to call first thing Monday morning to see where they can work me into their schedule (I called another company who told me they couldn't respond to my request until another 2 weeks!). Called right when they opened at 8 am and spoke to Tim who said he said he could be out to my cabin in 20 minutes - and he was there within the timeframe he said he would be! It came down to having one too many filters that was restricting the airflow causing the furnace to stop so it can prevent from overheating. In addition, he said the type of filter we used at the hallway register was too restrictive - great for catching dust but could be an issue with getting proper airflow. Had a lot of questions for Tim who was pleasant and very graciously answered all of them. I try to be an informed consumer and I learned a lot! The price was very reasonable for the service call. I was so worried that it was going to be a potentially expensive problem to fix. My fear is always that a company can easily take advantage of the situation and overcharge me for something that could be an easy fix or do work that isn't needed to make that extra buck. Not this company! I am so happy I chose them and they will be on my list of go-to, trusted service vendors.

I needed to upgrade my heater in my small cabin and Tim did an amazing job helping me and provided some recommendations. He was very responsive and I wished I went with this company earlier. It was really hard to find some people who are reliable here in the mountain and they do amazing quality work and I'm glad I went with them. The whole process was smooth and my new direct vent Rinnai heater was installed 2 weeks from the moment I messaged Tim. Highly recommended!

The first snow of the season, and of course our furnace stops working! Called around and all of the local businesses were booked out 1 to 2 weeks. Thankfully Big Bear Sheet Metal had placed a sticker on our furnace when they originally installed it several years prior. We called the number, a young man answered right away, said he had one service call before us and he arrived within two hours - fixed the electrical problem and we were able to enjoy heat that evening. We are so thankful for local tradesmen who care about their customers.

My toilet handle eroded after time. Called Mike the owner and operator. He had Dean come out and fix it. Overall they were very responsive, quick and professional! Will definitely be using them again in the future.
