I forgot his name but he was great and honest. He came to install a boiler but it want that easy. He has to remove gas lines and replace them up to code. He was very experienced and kind. He showed me what he was going to do and did a great job. He was sooo great.. Thank you for everything u have done. I now have a hot water.. Five stars I would of gave 10

I had a small leak in my toilet tank that I thought I could fix myself. Long story short, I made it way worse. Chris came by the next day and fixed the problem in about 10 minutes. The price was fair and I happily paid. Chris was knowledgeable, professional, and ready to quickly fix my screw up without any hassle. I cannot recommend MKC enough for all your plumbing needs. I'm always afraid to add yet another glowingly positive recommendation about someone like Kris and MKC Plumbing out of fear that the next time I need this superstar heating repair person and company, they'll be too busy and too expensive to help me out. But, alas, EVERYTHING prior Yelpers said was 110% true!

Kris was the first of 5 companies (which Yelp's messaging automatically contacted for me, but he was the one I really wanted) to respond, and did so within 5 minutes of my initial message. Kris followed up with a phone call asking for the important details, asking about quick fixes that might have solved the problem, shared his extremely reasonable fees given what he thought the problem could be, and then said ""I'm putting it in my GPS now and I'll be there in... 20 minutes.""

Kris, of course, arrived early. He then asked if he could park in the driveway after seeing no street parking (that's the kind of courtesy money can't buy). He wore his mask and kept his social distance. He evaluated the boiler (even though the rest of the house was warm) and then got to quickly repairing the broken valve on the one 2nd floor bedroom that wasn't working. Within a few minutes, he fixed the problem, cleaned the area as if he had never been there, and was done.

He shared an observation about a higher-than-normal pressure coming out of my boiler, but then said that it was huge job that I DIDN'T need to have done since things have been generally working fine for years. YES! A repair professional that is only looking to solve what needs to be fixed, and is interested in doing so quickly, and affordably.

Kris gave me several options for virtual payment since I didn't have cash on hand, and then left. He trusted me to pay him in full and quickly after the job was done without hovering over me to make sure I did so instantly. He sent an itemized invoice as an e-mail.

Time of first Yelp message: 10:28am. Time repair done: 11:18am. LESS THAN AN HOUR on a day when NYC is enjoying a sunny 30 degree day and we've got little ones at home.

Called MKC plumbing for a leak under my sink. Spoke to Chris who was at my house 20 minutes later. Fixed the leak and also put a brace on the dishwasher hose (it was never put on when installed by another plumber). He wouldn't leave it like that saying ""not on my watch."" He had all the parts in his truck and the job was completed in 30 minutes. His work was neat and clean. Very professional and you can tell he takes pride in fixing things correctly. Very reasonably priced. No more leaking. RECOMMEND MCK PLUMBING HIGHLY!!

I called Kris because I needed rusty pipes to my water heater replaced. He came over a few hours later and replaced them in less than an hour for a reasonable price. I would definitely call again for future jobs.

I would have granted him five stars, had it not been for the fact that he was already more than 30 minutes late when he managed to call to say that he would be an additional 20 minutes more late. Plus, he offered no explanation for why this was so. Once he got to the house he was friendly, helpful and professional. His price was also reasonable and in keeping with what he told me over the phone. I would hire this company again.

Chris was very professional and helpful. On my first call with him, he didn't upsell me or force to come over to charge me for an eval fee.

Instead, he listened to my problem, did a quick diagnosis over the phone, and asked me to try re-caulking my bathtub. No upselling, all honest, reasonable, and professional suggestions.

Unfortunately, the ceiling was still leaking after the re-caulking, and he eventually had to come take a look. Turns out it was a leaky toilet. At a very reasonable price, he fixed the leak despite having to deal with all our feces and urine all over the floor. Never once did he complain.

Chris is a plumber I can trust, and I won't hesitate to call him if I ever have any water or pipe issues in the future.

We had a leak in our Boiler room that was coming from the first floor. Kris came that very same day I inquired about getting it fixed. He quoted me a very reasonable price considering the leak was coming from the main water line. He also had to open the wall and repair a long cooper pipe. He was very knowledgeable and professional. After he was finished with the repair, I was so satisfied that I told him that he's officially my plumber for any future leaks. Hopefully there isn't any anytime soon. I would recommend him to my friends and family if they need a plumber!
