It is very difficult these days to find a good plumber who is both competent, honest and fairly priced. I can highly recommend MKC Pipes and Drains as having these qualities.
I had an issue where hot water for 10 seconds would be coming out of my cold faucets throughout my house including the showers. I had two ""handymen"" come and they could not figure it out.
I found MKC Pipes and Drains on Craigslist and gave them a call. What was so impressive is the person (Rudy) came out the same day I called. It took him 5 minutes to diagnose the problem (a defective cartridge in the shower that regulates hot and cold as well as pressure). Best of all is he had the replacement part (Kohler) in stock in his truck. He was able to make the repair quickly and efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. I was charged a fair price for the work done. I highly recommend them! Bruce

I recommend using this company. Kris called to inform me that the job he was working on before my appointed time would delay him instead of having me wonder if he was coming or not. That is a sign of professionalism to me. Kris asked me some questions to determine what might be wrong with my sewer line being backed up. Kris explained to me what the problem was and what he was doing to solve the problem without me reaching for Plumbing for Dummies book to understand what he was telling me. He also quoted me an estimate price for the work before even looking at (which I found another company did not want to give me one) and the estimate price was what he charged me. My friends were surprised how much I was charge since they paid almost double for the same thing by other companies. They asked me if I had Kris number in case they need him.

Kris is the man! Just called him today based on his quick response to my inquiry about a drain clog and he came right then and there. He fixed the issue for me and in no time unclogged my drain line.
