I have used MJ Plumbing four times in the past year with great results. Matt is always courteous, thorough, and knowledgeable. He is dependable, does the job quickly, and cleans up after himself. He listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and was reasonably priced.

I called Matt and he fit me in the same day. I had to leave just as he arrived, and quickly showed him a few things (in addition to the problem I called him about) that I wanted looked at if he had time, as I paid for an hour. Apparently he had time to take care of everything, and charged me LESS than the quoted price. I would definitely call him again, should the need arise.

I called Matt for a clogged plumbing system in my house in Calistoga. Everything was slow to drain - bath, toilet, kitchen sink... Matt came out, diagnosed it as a clog in the main drain and took care of it in a flash. He was right on time for our appointment, even called 30 minutes ahead of time to say he was on his way, and charged very reasonable rates for his service. I'm happy to have found a reliable plumber and he will be my go to for all future services.

I contacted MJ Plumbing and had Matt out in January. Matt was very professional, diagnosed my water flow issue and determined that the water supply company would need to address.

He promised to come out and install a 'water pressure regulator' later that week, but that in the meantime I should shut off water to the house whenever I'm not home.

Unfortunately it took six weeks of reminder phone calls to get Matt back out, which is quite frustrating given the level of inconvenience associated with turning off the water, which is why I'm giving MJ 3 stars instead of five.

Matt is awesome. I was able to get an appointment so fast and he showed up on time, fully prepared to fix my slow draining sinks. He was really thorough but efficient in fixing the problem and very reasonably priced especially for St. Helena. I plan to use him for any and all future plumbing needs. Glad to find someone trustworthy and good Up Valley!

Matt gave me an appointment the next dad and was on time. I told him about my toilet that was running, and that I had changed the flapper but still doesn't work right. He shortened the chain and adjusted it, which fixed the problem, but didn't charge me for it! I couldn't believe it! It is so refreshing to see that honest and giving people still exist. I'll pay it forward and make sure I hire him for every plumbing job from now on. His rates are also way more reasonable than most of the other ones I found on Yelp.

My toilet cracked in the earthquake. MJ Plumbing was referred to me and I set an appointment with Matt @ MJ Plumbing. He arrived, assessed the situation, cleaned up the water mess from the quake and scheduled a time to replace the damaged toilet with a new one.

Matt arrived on the scheduled date at the time we agreed to and did the entire job in 20 minutes!!! I would still be working on finding the correct screws and bolts, etc Matt is a professional who gives you advice and does the work on time and at a reasonable price. He's friendly and easily understands what is necessary to complete the job.
