My story seems to fit with 2 other reviews as I am a woman and a senior. I believe this business tried to take advantage of that. We were notified by our HOA that we had a leak at our property at Lake Cushman, but didn't know where it was. We live in Oregon and weren't able to go to the property at that time. But, I wanted to hire a local business to do the work, so I called Mitchell Plumbing to get a quote on repairing the leak. I needed to get the leak fixed right away, but didn't hear back for a week, so I called again. They finally sent someone up there who said they couldn't find the leak. He gave me a bid of $4700 to install new pipes from our meter out on the street down to our house, and install a shut-off valve. When I told him I needed to talk to my husband about it, I never heard back again. (I called and emailed multiple times) After discussing further with my husband, we decided to have our maintenance man drive up and look for the leak under the yard hydrant, and that's where it was found. It's a very common location for leaks and a plumber should have known that. Our maintenance man was able to fix the leak and install a shut-off valve for less than $150! BEWARE if you are a woman or senior and are getting a bid from this company, and always get a second or third bid before having the work done!

They were nice. They came in and looked at my plumbing problem and quickly determined that my issue was not a plumbing problem but a sewer problem.
Well I get a sewer guy out here and he says no it's not a sewer problem. It is main pipe issue. The sewer guy is nice enough to snake the main line twice. Unfortunately that didn't help. He said that I need to get a plumbing company like roto rooter out here. So I am back now trying to get a plumber.
If Mitchell did the complete Job and tried to figure out what was going wrong, I wouldn'tbe having to deal with a toilet that won't flush and a backup in my shower.

We had supper Plumbing emergencies pop up at once. We contacted our home warranty service and they suggested one company. And that company never called us back. So when we called again they contacted Mitchell Plumbing these guys came out and were so kind and professional. Their work was outstanding and I couldn't believe that they got everything done so quickly and efficiently. But being quick isn't always the best. But not only were they fast and efficient but everything was done perfectly. They seriously have the old way of doing business. Customer service. So much so that after they fixed underneath my kitchen sink. And we had our hot water heater almost go out and our faucets for dripping we called our home warranty and requested them. Even though they had to drive a little bit out of their normal hurricane location they did not hesitate to call us back. And set up a time to meet in between the holidays no doubt. I would highly recommend these people. Mitchell himself was awesome. And so was his coworker. I'm sorry I cannot remember his name unfortunately. But I will update this if I do remember. This was Christmas 2018 time frame. Thank you and I will be recommending Mitchell Plumbing to anyone I know that needs help. Sorry for the long review. Sometimes a lot needs to be sad when someone and some company are this great.. Michael stann

Happy i found mitchell plumbing. So hard to find an experienced plumber in the hoodsport area. His pricing was reasonable especially considering his craftsmanship! I would recommend mitch to all my family and friends.

I was given a high quote (I'm a senior) but I thought I was getting more than what I got from them. I expected a bathroom remodel as well as new water heater and replacement of well pressure tank.

Thought the price would include replacement of the tile in the bath and the finishing of the shower. Not done and had old plumbing items laying in the bedroom floor for two weeks.

Sorry to say I would not recommend Mitchell Plumbing.

I called Mitchell Plumbing after trying some other plumbing companies that had higher ratings on here; but received voice mail, or the stupidest response ever, ""Won't be able to make it, Seahawks are playing tonight"". Thankfully Mitchell Plumbing answered! They said they wouldn't be able to fit us in that evening but would come by to assess the problem and be back in the morning with any needed parts. They stopped by on their way home and checked out our problem.
They arrived the next morning, with the parts needed, replaced a valve and replaced some copper pipe going to the hot water heater.
They did a good job, arrived when they said they would, and they were friendly. The cost was around 200 bucks and well worth it.

Okay, it doesn't matter the complexity of the job, if you decide to hire Mitchell Plumbing just open your wallet. I received an estimate for replacing a water valve under my sink and after some research quickly discovered that he was charging me $200.00 above the cost that SELECT PLUMBING charged me. I have also witnessed this business owner excessively charging single females and seniors. Before you choose this business, PLEASE do your homework and don't get took by his high prices. He also never offered me or my neighbor a receipt for his services and was readily acceptant of cash payment.
