We had a clogged toilet, and called a few places before finding Mitch. At other places, I either got a voice mail (didn't leave a message), or they were only sending someone out hours from when we called (I called at 9:00 am). Mitch answered the phone himself, and came out within 30 minutes (or not even)! What a lifesaver! We had it fixed within the hour of calling him, and I'm now on my way to another appointment I have for the morning. He's not only fast, but also very friendly as well. Highly recommend him!
I had two experience with them so far. Once about 5 years ago, a guy came over to fix my sewer line, which was done well. But he said he had to get some part, and let the house, and charged me for his driving time. I had a bitter taste at that time.
Then, I called them recently for water pressure tank replacement, and they promised to call on Monday to come out, but never communicated back to me. It seems that there are quality gaps in different plummers working for Mitch. And it seems that they are either quite busy, or have a lot of turn over in that follow-up communication is weak.
Therefore, it is difficult for me to recommend them for emergent plumbing issues due to their communication issues, and for non-emergent work, it is a bit of risk to have a better plumber to come out.
C. W.Another Ann Arbor plumber referred Mitch and his business. Our business called once and left a voicemail (in fairness, it was on New Year's day--- fully expected to leave a voicemail).
On Friday, we called back again, and spoke to a person. This person promised to have a plumbing ""technician"" call us from the road and schedule an appointment to service our business' bathrooms.
Never received a call back. Nothing. We had to call and give the business to another plumber in town, who not only called us back, but scheduled an appointment and showed up promptly.
Seems a shame that this business could not just call and say they were too busy to take our work.
Sean M.Mitch is a busy guy and may be tough to get a hold of, but I have nothing but great things to say.
He came out free of charge on *two* separate occasions to inspect a water heater at my rental property in Ann Arbor, and he was able to work with my renters to install a new hot water heater AND install a new faucet that was leaky. I didn't have to purchase the faucet in advance - he took care of everything for me and charged me a fair price.
He was very respectful over the phone and with my renters - they actually told me that he was awesome!
Grateful to have someone like Mitch looking over my home.
Freakin call people back if you are running a place of business and they are trying to give you theirs. Sheez.
I called 2 other local plumbers (during business hours), and got voice mails. I left a message at one but didn't get a return call for 5 hours. Mitch answered the phone and came over within the hour. He was able to replace our broken hot water heater within the day, and by the time i got home that afternoon I had hot water! Was very pleased with the prompt service and reasonable price. Would use him again and recommend him to anyone needing a plumber.
Its now over 24 hours since calling and getting the answering service. Was told very good about returning calls and would hear back soon. sorry called another plumber and will have problem taken care of.
The company came recommended. I do not recommend them!!! Our sewer backed up and we needed someone to run a cable line in our basement out to city street. Mitch the Plumber service man said it was 100 feet and it wasn't cheap, we were charged $250.00. Unfortunately our sewer backed up again recently. Had a different company come out. I forewarned them that we were told the line was 100 feet. They had to call back up to bring in a longer line and once they performed the service we told the line was 50 feet from our house to the city street. I feel Mitch the Plumber (or person that performed the service) was not honest and charged us $75.00+ to make the extra $$ thinking we would never figure out how long the line was.
At the very least there are people that work for the company that are dishonest!
Called Mitch and left several message and never returned call. Finally got a hold of him (I kept trying b/c I heard good reviews). He set up an appt. to come out in two days to check our sump pump situation (needed a back up), but he never showed up. We told him we needed a water-driven sump pump and he was skeptical that it would be possible in our neighborhood. We told him several others had them and that another plumber had said it wouldn't be an issue. Again, he never showed up--don't know if he's irresponsible or just didn't want to deal with our particular concerns. We called three times and again, he never responded, apologized, or called back. This is absolutely unacceptable for a professional.
Mitch failed to call back after leaving numerous voice mails. He was recommended to us by a friend, so we thought we'd give him a try. After finally getting a hold of him, he came to our house to give us an estimate, we agreed on a time and day for him to return and fix our leaky showers. He was a no show! I spent my whole day waiting around for him and he never showed up. I could have been out running errands etc. Never again!
