Unless you want to be completely ripped off, do not use this company. They are on it. They are friendly they make you think they really know what they're doing, but they will charge you double what other people will we got an estimate that was outrageous. I have a friend who put in HVAC systems in commercial buildings and he said the price they were quoting us is what they charge!!!
Absolutely do not recommend this service to anyone. Get a local plumber who actually cares about their business and customers. I had a quote done for a new toilet plus installation, Something that should take less than an hour. Mister Quik decided it would be cool to price gouge me. I don't even know this is the right term, because the price they quoted me at goes beyond price gouging. $1,200 for a new toilet and installation. I laughed, contacted Lowes, and they installed a brand new, better, dual flush toilet for less than $100. Mister Quik clearly does not care about their customers if they are so blatantly ripping them off. Here is the quote from Mister Quik:
Initially used Mister Quik for several small projects and the techs they sent were always friendly and helpful. Developed what I though was a good relationship with this company and had them come out when I was having some concerns with my AC unit. Was informed by the tech that the unit was on its last leg and could go out at any moment leaving myself and my pets without AC in the middle of July. Was given a same-day quote for services and assured that it was fair-market value and given the relationship I had from past jobs, decided to proceed with their services. I was later informed by a colleague with a spouse in the HVAC industry that they thought I had overpaid. I requested an itemized bill from Mister Quik and after reaching out multiple times and being informed over the phone that this company does not regularly send itemized bills to customers, I received my itemized invoice. Not only was I overcharged for materials, I was charged twice for labor (one of these charges was for more than seven-thousand dollars for ""Labor"" for a single-day project which took less than 12 hours), and charged nearly five-thousand dollars for a general contractor that was never used (general contractors are only utilized when three or more trades are involved in a construction or home improvement project), and a 10-year membership to their maintenance service that i never agreed to. These additional charges were all hidden under the HVAC cost that was quoted in my original estimate. I approached Mister Quik with these issues who initially denied all claims associated with their billing. They have since admitted fault regarding the 10-year shape membership (which required a demand letter written from an attorney) but have denied all other claims.
I have since done my research and found out that Mister Quik has a history of misleading and overcharging customers. In fact, they received a lawsuit in 2012 form the Attorney General for violations of the Home Improvement Care Act requiring them to pay customers thousands in refunds.
If you are looking for a company for your home improvement project, I would recommend looking anywhere else. But don't just take my word for it. Take a few minutes and read through these reviews and take a look at Mister Quik's profile with the Better Business Bureau. The complaints speak for themselves.
Mr, Quick does not provide quality service. They advertise heavily for a reason. They cannot find and retain quality technicians and thus customers pay for services that often do not deliver value. It is frustrating when they make multiple service calls to fix the same problem to make it worse or leave without completing the job. They have missed the problem numerous times and suggest unnecessary (expensive) repairs and services. And if you are not satisfied with their service agreement/plan and pull out of that service contract they will not issue you anything close to what you paid for the plan. What a disappointment. My suggestion is do your research!
installed a faulty tankless water heater unit that we paid $11k for installed. you know, this should have been discovered when they installed the unit. I mean, if you want to charge a Tiffany price then you should meet the expectation as well. probably was a refurbished model that they charge new price for. just another example of incompetence
Dean L.Call original with no heat, tech came out and check and stated he needs a more Senior tech to come out. Once the senior tech checked somethings, stated I have low gas pressure and need to have the gas company come out, gas company check gas pressure and showed me the pressure was high. A few days go by and turn heat back on and same problem, I call Mr quik and was advised we will have a senior tech come and fix it. well on first visit they never took it completely apart and checked it but this time they did and cleaned it I was charged for 2 service fees that 1 showed be waived due to them not cleaning it properly the first time that would of avoided a return call. I have kids and I'm disabled, my kids were freezing due to there neglect in service and I want a service fee waived due to there neglect
This company needs a revamp on scheduling.
If you have an evening appt chances are it will get a call to reschedule your appt.
Trifling
The only reason I'm inclined to even give one star is because they did respond quickly. I had some very slow moving drains so we called to get them out to do thier magic. The pricing is reasonable especially in this market. However if your called out to clean a main drain and the drain isn't draining there's a problem. It felt more like he was trying to upsell rather than snake the main drain. I relize I'm in an old home but I am very aware what was used then is far more durable than the new. I didn't notice a difference in the draining and three weeks later it's coming out the over flow. I should have called them back out immediately but at this point as hard as they were trying to sell me on I needed to replace the line to the sewer had me very uncomfortable. We finally did call and it has not even been thirty days and they want me to pay again. Now mind you when he cleaned the line he did show me some tree roots he pulled out. However it was very little. I've been here for more than thirty years and take my word for it I've seen some roots! When they arrived wanting us to pay again today of course we said no way! We called someone else and got the drain done and it is now draining correctly. The young man did do the camera as well to see if there is a problem. Needless to say there is no immediate need for the drain to be replaced. They wanted some excessive amount of money to replace the line from the house to the street when there's absolutely nothing wrong with what is there! I can't help but feel like they thought they had old suckers to prey on! Nope run if you can they are not honest and do not stand behind the work they do! The new company that came does guarantee the work for 67 days. I was absolutely floored they wanted to charge again for about 18 days of still not draining well! There are not big ole holes and cracks in the line! They made it sound like it's going to collapse at anytime. Ugh stay clear of them!
They came to look at my leaking faucet. He said it had to be replaced and it would be $1515.00. Really, for a faucet that would cost less that $200.00 at Home Depot? He rambled on for several minutes about how superior their faucets are. He hadn't listen to anything I said about the o-rings or really looked to see what the issue was. I watched a few YouTube tutorials on leaks and went to Home Depot to get some o-rings. I decided to try fix it myself. I tore it apart cleaned it off and replaced all the o-rings, added a few drops of silicone and tightened all the hoses. No leak and for 10 bucks I have enough various sized o-rings to last for eternity. They just thought they could get money by being dishonest.
Been waiting almost two months to get my floor where their warranted water heater burst. Still no bueno, little-to-no communication. I'm about ready to have it fixed myself and seek legal counsel. My advice, steer clear.
