ADT tried to install my thermostats and ran into issues. The techs advised me to call my sales rep to get an AC out here, but said not to send Minyard. Well, Minyard showed up and the first thing the tech said was, "I don't know why they send me for this crap"...right in front of me. He had to call someone else (an AC guy from another company), spent 45 minutes, and said he wasn't sure how to do it. As he left, he said if you need service in the future, keep us in mind.....really??
I called another AC company, and they had them installed in 30 mins.

Appalled to hear the words " we don't have time to take care of you " as a business owner I would definitely not speak to a customer like this. I wasn't the one who arranged the appointment with this company, it was the manufacturer, and they were absolutely shocked to hear what happened. They are rethinking about continuing business with Minyard, but the damage has been done. Even worse is that we had several other projects that we wanted them to help out with, but I think it's a blessing to know early on how I will be treated rather than to find out once they are in my house. Beware

I hate warranty work, it's always a toss-up with who they contract to (and if you think I'm just here to complain, read the great review I gave to Appliance Express, also warranty work). I had a recall on my Rheem water heater and Minyard Sons was the company taking care of the repairs. I was happy to see decent reviews and when I called to schedule my appointment they were more than happy to accommodate my baby's nap schedule. Unfortunately, that is where the good points end. I had an appointment window of 12-2. Two o'clock came and went and no technician nor any phone call. I waited until 3:30 before I initiated a call to Minyard Sons. Obviously, I was upset. I had wasted my afternoon, I had no idea what was going on, and I was the one having to call for answers. The receptionist was rude and just played dumb. The technician was stuck on a job in Marble Falls, which yes, I understand happens but how you handle it is what matters. Please read on. She didn't know when he would be done. He had been there since 9:30 that morning. And no one thought that when noon or even two o'clock rolled around and he was still there that perhaps something should be done about his later appointments? I asked why they would schedule me after such a big job. And she just responded that they have no way of knowing. Well, they should get a little more information on what is going on at a job so they can plan accordingly AND CALL CUSTOMERS TO INFORM/RESCHEDULE, IF NECESSARY. I told her to call him and get an estimate on when he might be able to come to my house and she said no because he was on a job. Really?!?! Your technicians enter a black hole once they go to a job and you have no communication with them?? That's a load of crap. Instead she just kept repeating "there was nothing she could do" and acted like it was no big deal that the technician didn't show. Right, because what you should have done was CALL ME 2 hours before I called to INFORM ME of what was going on. He knew he had another job, she knew he had another job. A simple PHONE CALL saying he was stuck and he would either be very late or I would be better off to reschedule is what should have been done. I absolutely did not want to reschedule as I would most likely be sitting and wasting another day for someone to not show up. She "apologized" but the tone of her voice was very insincere and she kept trying to turn it on me like I was upset for no reason. I had to call Rheem for a third time to get the name of another company because I will not do business with this poorly run, inconsiderate company. Want to know the funny part? The technician never showed up at my house, it's almost as though someone called him.
PS-Did you get the underlying theme of this review? That a few simple PHONE CALLS would have made a lot of people have a much better day.
I am happy to say I went with Reliant Plumbing. They were understanding and professional and took care of the work in about 20 minutes.

The worst plumbing company ever. Please don't use. They cause a flood in my house and refuse to help with repairs. When I tried to call and talk with a manager all my calls were blocked.

Thank you so much!! Misa did a super job. He was very knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. He fixed my duct insulation, installed a new smoke detector, and put in a new thermostat, which works great. I've been trying to get the duct problem fixed for months, so I'm very happy with Misa and Minyard Sons. Recommend them highly. Also a shout out to Jordan Murray for the referral.

Minyard was timely and called to let me know when the service tech would arrive. Dan Mickelson arrived on time and did an outstanding job clearing out the sewer line and installed new toilets. He was very professional and polite. Will do business with them again. Highly recommend.

I used Minyards several times over the years and withingthe last year I have a very bad experience with them twice. One, they installed the Ac controller backwards when I did a complete new install on a rental house several years ago ($6k plus). They don't even really deny its wrong but rather its out of warranty. When install something incorrectly that should be fixed when it is discovered no matter what.
Second, be real careful here and always ask for a complete quote from these guys in writing. I had a new kitchen sink fixture installed and they charged close to $600. The fixture, which provided, was $75 at Home depot and too 30 minutes install. Watch these guys carefully.

Amazing response - they "put themselves in my shoes" and helped me out right away. Melody was gracious on the phone. Dan Mickelson, the serviceman who came out, was engaged, hard-working, great at explanations, and did an excellent job. Can't recommend these folks highly enough!

Selling our house and the buyer wanted service of the HVAC system. I contacted Minyard and they were polite and professional. Lloyd showed up on time and was also polite, got right to work, while I was able to continue to work at home. He put on booties and left the place in a clean fashion. He provided me w/ a complete write up of everything he did and provided the condition of the unites in writing. Along with providing the unite id#'s for the buyers review. Nice Job - I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

Hot water heater fiasco!! I came home to find a pin hole leak in the copper tubing on my hot water heater spraying everywhere. Called at 8:26 pm spoke with Lindsey. She was polite and helpful. She called back at 8:28 pm and advised a plumber on call would follow up. At 8:35 pm the on call plumber named Ron called back and advised he would be in route. Ron arrived was very nice, helpful, and even took the extra step to vacuum the water off the floor. Ron was done and on his way at 9:24 pm. From call to departure was less than an hour!! Outstanding service, and speedy too. I would recommend this company to anyone.
