I shopped around via the internet for plumbing services to fix a leaky outdoor faucet that I had already tried to repair myself without success. With reliable reviews, minutemen seemed to fit the bill. I called and was greeted very friendly by a receptionist who scheduled a prompt visit by a plumber within a few days. The gentleman showed up on time and was extremely friendly. He offered us a military discount even though we didn't mention our military status (he noticed some items in our home that gave it away). He said he could not fix the faucet the day of the visit due to not having the parts in stock but that we would not be charged for the visit. We were told we would be given a call to schedule the appointment for repair when the part came in in a few days. I was pleased.

It has now been 3 weeks. I have called and spoken to the same receptionist twice now who told me the plumber who saw us ""will give you a call when he gets back in the office"". I have never heard a word from anyone. I get being busy, but it's part of a solid business to communicate. Not good.

Always good to know when to call in a pro. I'm pretty good with DIY but I didn't trust myself to take a sink off the wall. My faucet was leaking (needed a new o-ring, which I ordered from Moen) and then I realized the pop-up assembly was cracked. Now, no more leaky bathroom sink drain or faucet! YouTube made it seem fairly straightforward to fix, but it turned out that there was a problem with a pipe as well (someone had installed a pipe for a kitchen sink, not a bathroom sink) and it needed some gaskets too. I wouldn't have known how to handle that. He was efficient, able to pull it apart and get this simple job done right quickly.

Minutemen Plumbing, Heating and Cooling came to my house to provide a quote. They said I would receive the quote within a week. Five weeks later after I called multiple times, I still do not have a quote. They rarely answer their phone. I finally was able to get a hold of someone and they said they would send the quote along. Needless to say, five days later I still don't have the quote. I will never call them again.
