My beautiful old house required a complete re-piping due to water leakage. This company provided excellent, prompt, and knowledgeable service and outstanding customer service. While no one wants to go through something like this, they certainly made it much better. Kudos to everyone who, helped on this project particularly Alex and Kason who were amazing! And Sara in the office was just such a joy to work with.. I would definitely highly recommend this company, particularly since they even provide a 3-year warranty on all parts & labor! They were professional, but off the charts expensive!! They connected a gas fireplace to an existing gas line ( what should have been a $200 job), and charged $600 !! Ridiculous

Mink is great. I recently had a gas leak at my new home. I called Mink who immediately sent Luis Fuentes to check things out. Mr. Fuentes was friendly, professional, and found the leak right away--on the gas company's side of the meter. I felt so relieved. I will use Mink in the future. I highly recommend them.

I'm disappointed in the two times I've trusted Mink Plumbing for service. I manage a newer apartment complex in Tyler. I called Mink Plumbing on August 22, 2022, for the first time, & they were available that day, so I was pleased! We had a Pressure Relief Valve to one of our units that needed to be replaced. It had failed and was causing loud vibration in the apartment. They came right out and replaced it. It rained for 4 days afterwards, and after the rain stopped, we realized it wasn't sealed good and water had been running out in the parking lot the entire week. After 5 hours of texting, they finally found someone to come fix the leak. There must have been quite a struggle, or someone was unhappy about having to return, because our meter box was completely torn up and dirt not put back in the hole, leaving the box extremely recessed, presenting a falling hazard for my tenants. 4 days later, they returned. They put dirt back in the hole and replaced the box. That was nice and it looked fine. Owners aren't happy with the water bill, but we know the plumber is human, & no injuries were sustained with my tenants, so all is well.
The 2nd service call was the next day, Sept 2, 2022. They're among some of the only plumbers in town that have been available the same day we need service, so I decided to try them again. We simply needed a new tub spout installed in one of our units. The plumber was there for 30 minutes, in which he installed the tub spout and snapped a new flapper in the toilet, both provided by us. The service call was $120 and $79 for tub spout installation, and $79 for flapper installation. $284.00 total. My tenant called shortly thereafter, and the tub spout had blown off. I called Mink with their "one year labor warranty" and they couldn't get back out for 4 days. Naturally, I can't leave my tenant unable to use their shower or tub for that length of time. I asked for a refund in order for me to be able to call someone else to come re-install the tub spout. Not even a partial refund for the tub spout portion were they willing to give. The only offer was to return in 4 days. This was a Saturday, so it would've cost me a fortune to get another plumber. I went over and re-installed the tub spout myself, and it's still operating fine. Just wish I'd YouTubed it first and saved my owners $284.00.

We first used Mink about 2 years ago when our water heater stopped working. They were prompt and were to our house quickly to get us set up with a new one! A year later, it stopped working on a weekend, and we called another company to fix it. The other company said that it was one issue that they couldn't fix, so when we called Mink to come out during the week, it turned out to be a totally different think and was fixable! Unfortunately we had to have them come out again thanks to a faulty part, but they were at our house on time and got us fixed up again. Every time we have used them their employees have been respectful, courteous and explained things in ways that we could understand. Most definitely will continue to support this family owned, local company!
